Hi there,
I have a mug that I really like but it is white on the inside and has become tea stained, not washing it quickly enough I presume!
Doesn't seem to come off through normal washing, any ideas?
Thanks

Hi emmiemac,
Here's a recent thread that may give you some ideas: Cleaning nicotine stains off china

simply rinse the cup and then sprinkle about 1/4 teaspoon of salt and rub with your fingers the stains will come right off.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0

Bleach might leave a "taste" behind. Someone at a place of work used to soak the mugs in bleach, but drinks always tasted faintly of bleach for a couple of days afterwards! Might have been because the bleach was stronger than household bleach though.
If you add about half a tablespoon of biological washing powder per mug, disolve in warm water and leave to soak, it lifts stains off. Give them a wash in washing up liquid after and it removes all the taste of the washing powder. Here I go again on my own....0 -
I always bleach mine but then I soak them in hot soapy water afterwards to remove the bleach taste.0

You could always try denture cleaning tablets if you dont fancy using bleach!!!!

Perhaps trying using a paste of bicarb and water to remove the stain.

Looked in my stain removal book, could also use baking soda and hot water (it also mentions the salt method too)!!!!!
