Money Moral Dilemma: Would you pay a parking back hander?

Here's this week's hypothetical situation for you to cogitate on:
You’re parking in a big private car park in the centre of town. When you return the cost will be about £14. Yet a member of staff who works there tells you if you give him a fiver in cash he’ll let you through the gates no problem. This is self-evidentally defrauding the car park company. Would you pay the parking backhander?

Would you give a car park attendant a back hander?

Oh back hander....
yeh why not. i wouldn't give him a hand job though. I'd just pay the parking ticket.I wonder why it is, that young men are always cautioned against bad girls. Anyone can handle a bad girl. It's the good girls men should be warned against.-David Niven0 -
Of course I would. Parking charges are ridiculously high in this country. I'd rather have the money go into the pocket of the poor attendant than to the fat-cat bosses of these rip-off firms.poppy100

heck yeah!0

yeh but i'd give him less, insist on a receipt, then tell him i was going to grass him up as i left -give him something to think about.
PS Merry Xmas xxx0 -
I have done this in Central London, there was a road with shops, round the back there was a loading unloading area with a big yard, bought the guard "lunch"
and he let me in for a few hours and watched my car. Double bonus!

Yes - No problem - I love entrepreneurs, it has made the country what it is today!!!!0
-
Nope, I wouldn't give the attendant the money - it is stealing and fraud. I would also inform the company he works for. The cost of the car parking doesn't really come into it - you knew how much it would be when you parked there, although there is no way I would ever go to a car park that charges that much!0
-
Yep - I'd do it - £5 to him and £9 to me - its a no brainer!0
-
No, I would report the creep and hope that he is prosecuted with as much severity as the law can muster up.0

But not for the many reasons people above suggest.
You take the ticket, refuse to pay the back hander, then report him to the police and contest the ticket on the grounds that it was used as attempted blackmail.
You pay neither the back hander, nor the ticket, and there is one less parking attendant in the world.0
