pigpen, has your DS been ok since causing the fire? I know how much things like that can effect them, DS1s terrible for bottling things up when he's done something which went wrong.
He is in denial.. everyone else was upstairs and he was the only one in the kitchen so it couldn't have been anyone else..
He has blamed DS3 and DD3 he just cannot remember doing it I think.. I had used the grill earlier but I KNOW I turned it off and closed the door so am sure it wasn't me..
I have the fire safety peopel coming out to talk to the children in 2 goes, 1 lot to talk to the littlies because they were so frightened I thought it might help settle them and the older ones to devise a plan of action should be be unlucky enough for it to happen again, escape routes etc.. I know DS3 at least will get obsessive about it but rather than that run about hysterically like I would! lol
Hopefully they will want to see their rooms and tell them they must keep them tidy!!.. We can but hope!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
pigpen the local teams who go into houses are usually very good, I mentioned to them about the boys not being great about keeping rooms tidy and they did include it in their chat with my children, saying about blocking escape routes. Plans of actions can be a good focus for them. Definately not worth dwelling on it if he thinks he hasn't done it, bit iffy with the blaming others but denial will hopefully help him let go.
Amazons even worse for Lego City Police Station, they want £149.99! Definately not getting it pre Christmas, not paying £100 OTTOne day I might be more organised...........

Thank you hun!!
The cleaners are industrial bodies paid for by the insurance company they are cleaning the ceiling and walls etc... The guy who came round yesterday was about 5ft 6 and he looked on the bottom shelf of my cupboard where my plates live and he said oh these won't need doing they are fine.. erm.. no... I only cleaned 2 shelves.. the one for my plates.. adn the one for my mugs the rest are still filthy!!
Everything should be covered by the insurance.. accidental damage, far end of a fart damage, up the swanny damage and $h!tcreek damage... it is all covered! But I shall bear it in mind.. thank you!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

It is a cheapy !!!!py pile of poop cooker.. I may keep it if it is ok and donate it to DS1's GF when she gets a hovel of her own.
You know I stay up until silly o'clock you should have ringkled me.. don't do it now though I'm having me a cuppa and whizzling off to my nest.

I think IIRC Social Fund loans are based on income related benefits. Pigpen you're right, you pay the insurance so they cover it, just crazy how much time it takes.
Triker, thank you x
Toots, with me being home alone (well kids but they are in bed) I'd crack up if I didn't keep posting, seriously, I just tried to goto bed but sat crying my eyes out instead of sleeping so came back to chat. Once like I said I see her rolling in freshly cut grass (in particular when she'd just been to the groomers!) instead of crying at me in the vets, I'll probably be able to settle.
For those who didn't see her and not on facebook to see photos on there, my baby girl the day she came back to us

Right, think I will try to get to bed again, will let Luke out first, need to make sure everythings there ready for in the morning as I'll likely be in the same frame of mind. DPs kicking up a fuss about DS2s performance being on but he wants to get sorted in the house, men! I'll see how it goes, if he's as unhelpful as expected, I'll drag him to the performance, I did say he could have done more today, or all the rest of the weeks/months this year! Christmas tree looks terrible, stupidly left the heater next to it not thinking it'll dry it out....bother!
Night all xxxOne day I might be more organised...........
