lil-me I'm sorry you have had to lose a good friend. I think in time you will be glad you stayed with her to the end, knowing that the last person she saw was somebody who loved her and cared for her.0
-
hugs, lil_me xx
going to have an early night, nothing on the telly and puter is too slow, was trying to get to facebook to see what was up with summer?0 -
Lil_me - you are in my thoughts at sch a difficult time, you were very brave.
Davgirl - thanks for the e-mail, I'm no good at finging things like that so it's really nice.
I won't be tipping my postie this year cos he is so slap-dash I am forever having to deliver next doors mail for them cos he puts it through my letterbox, and as the dog often gets to it first I have to say sorry for the teathe marks:eek:
As for the bin men - well I rarely see them and on the only occasion I have in the last few months as soon as they saw me they started sweeping up the bits they had dropped in the street - I work in the bin depot:rotfl:
The only delivery person I tip is the boy who delivers my free paper - he knocks every week so that the dog can't get hold of it (or his fingers for that matter:rotfl: )
Well I've got OH off sick for a couple of days - some lurgy he picked up at work. I think he's having a hard time as they've had to make redundancies this week and he his a temp so people are asking why HE is still there, but he has a fixed term contract and would have to pay him if they let him go now. He only has until the end of January anyway so I'm sure he's also worrying about that too.
My solicitor rang today to let me know how my medical negligence claim is going. The news is looking quite good - bearing in mind it has been ongoing for over 3 years:eek: I wouldn't mind if it was a fancy complicated case, but they have admitted liability they just want to drag it out as long as they can.
(((Hugs))) to all - we all need one now and again.
By the way Toots - belated congrats on your ECDL, I took it in September/October and the Powerpoint was the one I had most problems with. The result of my getting the Cert is a job I love and it also gave me a lot of confidence cos I was starting to feel old and dull - now I just feel old:rotfl:0 -
Flippin' heck MOAM your avatar looks manic on firefox :rotfl:

(((((((Hugs))))))) lil_me. It was a hard decision, but I'm sure you'll look back and realise it was the right one.
PF - please look after yourself, it seems to be one thing after another at the moment. You need to give yourself a chance to get better
Happy Birthday Crafty
Happy holidays serena & Valli ... I'm not jealous at all, honest
Pigpen - can you get a second hand or freecycled cooker to tide you over until the insurance is sorted out? I know Oddjob offered one, but he's a bit far away... however, it looks like I'll be driving up to Leeds on Monday, so we might be able to sort out a flylady relay to get something to you... or can you just farm out the family to friends & relatives until its sorted, and have a bit of peace and quiet?!
Mudbath - glad you're taking your resting seriously... don't declutter the choccies too quickly, you don't want to overdo it!
Hugs to the rest of you... if you don't need them, you deserve them!
Toots... thanks for the sympathy... I do actually enjoy my job, just need to rant occasionally! The meeting with my new director went well today (I think) and I'm close to getting my year-end numbers done. However, there is no sign at all of the builder having been today, which is very irritating as he should be finishing tomorrow, and I want the keys back before I go away. As he's married to a colleague, if there are problems it could be difficult. Fingers crossed he turns up tomorrow... with some idea as to how he's going to finish on schedule, and what he's going to do about the floor (it's looking better, but he clearly has no intention of taking up and replacing the tiles... and there is also still stuff (window, door etc) outside, which I assume he is going to get rid of, as I've had the hippobag collected, and have no way of getting rid of them now. I told him to put everything in there that needed to go. I think it might be a man thing...0 -
I'm off to bed - am pooped with all the shopping and Christmas tree sorting out!
But, having just watched a bit of the news, I will go to bed satisfied that at last the person who killed Rachel Nickell has been found and suitably dealt with. It must have been awful for her son and partner (and Colin Stagg!) all these years not having that awful word 'closure'. But, hopefully, now they will.
Night night all.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Hello everyone!!!!
(((hugs))) lil_me. Atleast you were with her to the end, that will become a comfort in your grief.
To all who have been asking about me..... I have had a VERy bad day, emotionally, kids have been driving me up the wall. House is a pigsty, and I don't have time to go to the loo, never mind flying aswell. So basically I had a mini meltdown, had a bitof a cry, went to work and took my frustrations out on the till!! lol
Feeling a bit better now tho, although I am working every day until xmas eve... so wont have much of time to do anything. But I am sure everything will come together in the end.An' It Harm None, Do As Thou Will
MACAW... EAT BETTER, no snacks, no junk0 -
Pigpen - can you get a second hand or freecycled cooker to tide you over until the insurance is sorted out? I know
Can't do freecycle as I am banned lol.. because the moderators are cyclepaths!
I got one for £85 today..
I am still going to accept the £70 a day food allowance.. and I cleared it with the insurance company that the dead cooker was to be ousted as it is filthy and it stinks and the children are spreading soot faster than I can clear it up.. I found 1 spoon, 1 spatula and a little orange man behind my old cooker!
3 weeks of £70 a day plus £800+ for my new cooker... I should have christmas paid for!
Thank you for the kind offer though!!
I know something someone may possibly be able to do for me...
In the Disney store they do a pink aristocats bag with all 3 kittens in.. it is £16 or thereabouts.. if anyone is passing a store and spies one would you grab it for me and post it over here?? My mother wants one to give to DD4 and the one here hasn't any in and they are out of stock online... Postage etc will of course be paid! xxxLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
