Lil-me - just spoken to Parcel Force - they can do a next day delivery but not until Monday which means you won't get it until Tuesday.

So, I can cut the box (carefully), repackage and get it out special delivery today or take it to the ParcelForce depot on Monday for a Tuesday delivery.

Which would you prefer? I'd prefer the cutting the box because there's then more contingency time!

g&b...used to play when I was up in Derby about 10 years ago now!

I don't want to be up! Thought if I want to park in town to swap my phone the earlier the better though. Don't think I'll be able to come home and go back to bed though :D

I know my memory is rubbish, but wasn't someone going to Quo last night? I wonder who that was?

It was ME :D :j:j:j:T:T:T well me and Miss A.

Had a great time as one track started Miss A said 'this must be a new on on the new album' 'Mmmmm' said I 'It's new to you but it is actually their first ever hit!' She loved every second but was shattered.

Bought her a new T shirt and tour prog, tradition carried on from when DH and I used to go and see them :)

I am skim reading from back on page 40! Will catch up with you all at some point today.

    Morning lovelies!

Soappie you are a STAR! what a lovely thing to do :A

Glad you had a good time AnW'smum

Just tidied the pc/spare/dining room it was a hovel....so it's ready for cleaning now. Managed to finish my wrapping last night so all in all 3 x 2hr sessions = 6 hrs of wrapping in total will take less than an hour to rip it off and chuck away lol just gotta finalise the last of the food shopping list AND go for it but not sure when, think I'll do it in stages, some tomorrow a bit on Monday, the fresh stuff Tuesday.

Got work 9.30 - 2.30 today up at Roker then back down to Shields, a bit of cleaning/delivering pressies afterwards, then it's my SIL Birthday today so going over for a bit of a party, hoping I get to see the Strictly final tonight, I'd hate to miss it.

I feel worn out :( but I finish approx 2ish on Tuesday and it can't come quick enough almost 2 weeks of no work - yippee! :j

    ((((((((hugs all round)))))))

Hello everyone, well today is get organised day I think.

Feel surprisingly optimistic really ala OH and going away. I had a read up about what 'sinus perforation' which is the techical term and as long as the stubborn begger relaxes and allows it to heal properly he should be ok.

So he's firmly ensconced on the sofa bed watching the usual festive cheer of 'deadliest catch', 'extreme engineering' and 'ice road truckers'..................yawn:rolleyes:.

I've decided that I'm going to get packed today and do what needed to be doing anyway.

I haven't yet :o sorted the travel insurance because I was looking for a policy which includes pre existing conditions due to DD's asthma. So I'll plod on now getting that organised.

    Launderette run later.

    Clear dining room.

    Pack case.

Write a million lists so I don't forget anything.

    Hairdresser appointment.

    Wrap presents.

Take library books back. They are overdue.:o

    Find travel books.

Do something christmassy with my girls.:rudolf:

Hope you're all having a productive day. Thank you so much for all your words of support and encouragement.......it really helps.:happylovexx

lil_me I have just read about Megan, huge hugs to you all from us three. Never an easy decision but given the circumstances it seems the right one. Glad you were with her at the end, in itself not an easy thing to do. Just think she will be frolicking around up there in doggie heaven now and having a great time. :grouphug:
