I am now officially pooped. I'm off to tidy up a tad and then seek my bed. Have a really good night ladies and gents - sleep tight!
I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
  • Right, 28 mince pies made, and i finished off my jar of mincemeat so no more this year. No need anyway, as we won't be around here eating between the 26th and the 4th, so i may get DH to take some into work, and give some to my dad.

Just having a refreshing glass of rose, and listening to the wind kick up a stink outside. Sounds horrible, and i am not liking the bangs and crashes when i am in alone and nextdoor are away. Sounds like a few bins have gone over, and it is disturbing Sam a bit.

Caught up on the thread a little. gosh, what a week. Pigpen your cobwebby piccies made me laugh. They look like the house that we stayed in when we went away during the summer. It looked like it hadn't had the cobwebs done in years, but MIL assures me that they can appear like that in a matter of weeks. I wouldn't see them in months here if i left it.

Johanne what is DD sleeping like during the day? Both mine have gone to bed at 7ish when this sort of age, but before they were crawling and stuff didn't nap well during the day, Sam today slept for about 30 minutes at 11am, and another 30ish at about 3:45, but then i had him in bed for 7:15. There is no logic to it at all though, as regardless when they have longer kips in the day, then they still sleep well at night. It does get easier as they wear themselves out though. I think Sam is going to be a bum shuffler as he has started rocking about quite a lot when he is sitting, and he is not bothered by rolling/crawling as he can reach pretty much all he wants by leaning so far forward his belly touches the floor. They find a way don't they.

I've washed up all my mess apart from the trays used to make the pies, I've come to the conclusion i'll keep DH as when he is working and i have to do everything it is rather rubbish and time consuming, so he can stay. ;)

I might watch some stuff off the tiscali box or go to bed with my book once this stuff has cooled. Bye all.

:hello:Hi dusty! Thank you for asking - Mum has been moved back to the nursing home from hospital, as she is doing much better. Huge relief all round, as we all hate the hospital. It's her 80th birthday tomorrow, so we're all going over (ie me and the three teens), and then my brother and his GF will go on Sunday, as otherwise it will be a bit overwhelming.
I shall combine that with a Christmas present drop, and going to see my sister, as she said we could go over to her for tea.

I have been rushing around all day without actually feeling that I have achieved very much. Weekly shopping this morning, home for coffee then downtown with DD who was actually home! We just about finished the shopping, although I have still one or two small things to get. Speedy lunch, then I dropped her at BF's and popped into Tesco's to buy some beef sausages - I can't eat pork and hardly anywhere sells beef. I need them to make the stuffing for the turkey.

Are you feeling better now dusty? Hope so. My house is complete tip, but I plan on drafting some forced labour over the next four days.

soappie that was a lovely thing to do

Pink Fairy - call the doctor if you need, that's what they're there for, and big big hugs.( My DS tends to be really horrible about stuff sometimes and then I discover that it's something totally different that is the trigger - could this be your OH too? Maybe he's really worried about losing his job when you are unwell and also not working? )

boddy -glad to read that your mum enjoyed opening her cards! Are you having a decent break over the Christmas?

Lots and lots of get wll wishes, and hugs for all those feeling poorly, especially Triker's OH.

  • Mudbath – glad the doctor came and patched you up – now stay put!
Greenbee – hope he is going to put the tiles right. He should have checked how to do them properly.
Pigpen – what course did you finally decide on and where?
Triker – hugs for your OH
    PF – hugs
Emily – good luck for Monday. Will you have internet access? We need to know how things are going

johanne hope water is back on soon
SSL, get some smoke alarms, soon, please! Some firestations do free installation of them which is worth checking
Mudbath, you've been told to behave! Oh and no misbehaving because you want to see the nice doctor again.
serena great news, hope she has a wonderful birthday, must admit never heard of someone using beef for stuffing before

I've sorted some of the freezer, leaving food shop until last minute, given what we have I am hoping to hold out until Tuesday with at the most buying essentials in the coop/f&v shop, wondering if there is some loo rolls in the cupboard under the stairs still....

Coming week looks a bit like this

Saturday - tidy and clean mainly, see if I can do a bit of a clear out in the boys room aswell.
Sunday - tidy and clean again, check through presents
Monday - Metro centre (feel sick thinking about it) for last minute stuff after my delivery arrives from Santa Soappie :D

Wednesday - Go see my Nana then funeral on afternoon, see Matthew on evening
Thursday - run round after kids
Friday - after depositing DP for his usual drinking with his Dad do as little as possible!

Tonight looks like - let Luke out for tiddle (check water) check for any extra rubbish (DP putting bin out when he gets in at silly oclock because it's VERY windy!) pick rubbish up from LR, bed time! (I'll be on call all night for when DP gets iffy passengers but will goto bed regardless)

    Goodnight all x

water is still not back on....sarah is still not asleep...and OH is at work.... Im going potty!!!!

I know its totally wrong thing to do but ive given in after 4 hours of trying to get her to settle whilst she is just wanting to play...and Ive just brought her downstairs and sat her in the highchair so i can at LEAST clean our tea up off the living room floor.... she threw hers as most kids do... = she also knocked a dish of fried rice smothered in barbecue sauce all over my carpet whilst i turned my back for 2 seconds to pick up her food... whilst she was sat on my knee! Having mice means we cant leave any food lying around... hence why i was desperate to do the dishes!!

SERIOUSLY why does my child not want to sleep she naps exactly the same as Sam going on what Michelle just said - maybe half an hour more tops?! ...she eats well and is really active always rolling everywhere round the floor and even is attempting to crawl/walk now (crawling using her hands and feet instead of hand and knees  ) we go out and she gets fresh air.....she just wont Slllllllllllllleeeeeeep!!! :(:(
