soappie, how nice to have one more :) do they all muck in?

Nope - they do not muck in, they tuck in - that's all they're allowed to do. I love cooking a feast for family and friends and just watching them enjoy the food. I tend to refuse any help. I also (sadly!) quite like clearing away afterwards - but at my own pace and in my own way.

  • Hello ladies.

Long time no see. I have been so manic this week i have no idea how we got to Friday, but i have two boys who are thankfully healthier and happier, and have had a couple of days out of the house, and some sleep, so i am feeling a bit fitter for xmas. DH is working away all night tonight, then he just has a long day monday at work, then that will be him till the 4th of Jan. I can't wait.

Sorry i won't have time to catch up all the thread this week - i've read little bits, but not a lot, and i want to do some other bits tonight like make more mince pies. ;)

    From what i have seen

anw's mum hope you have had a great birthday

mudbath get them feet up and do even less. My mum made the mistake of doing too much when she had her hysterectomy and it never healed right. I don't think she had much choice as my bro was only 3 at the time, and my sisters 6 and 11, but if it were me having one, i would be lying flat as a pancake for as long as possible.

so much love on here this week. Can i add to it. I have two 3 month free trials with lovefilm. There is a condition with them that they can't be used by someone who has registered before. If anyone wants one of them, let me know by PM as they are going begging. I think we have given everyone we have ever known one already in the past.

I think i might try and catch up a little, but not all, and i will try not to stay away as long again as i know some of you worry. In reality though, if the thread keeps on moving at this speed in the new year, i don't think i am going to be able to post as much because it stops me having fun with the boys. In the new year i want to get the telly turned off a bit and do some quality things with them, as my time before going back to work is ticking away, anyway - mince pies.

Hi everyone, haven't had a chance at all to catch up on the thread so big hugs to everyone.

It's been a bit crazy here, hubby has took unwell in a big way but didn't seem to realise it until it had got out of control. House being slowly put back together. He's now back on meds and hopefully he'll be better soon, he can't really sleep at night so need to keep an eye.

DD's not well with toothache but dentist say's she's fine. Add in the school plays and party's as well as finishing my courses it's been total nuts. Only good thing is i've managed to pass my exams.

No where near finished sorting Christmas out and house is away to pot really going to have to get my butt in gear. So plan tonight is to get kids to bed and make a start.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Froddy happy holidays, congratulations to your friends!
boddy don't blame you, hope you sleep ok, winds really picked up here, I am pleased DP brought Rudolf down from the roof, I can hear the lights hitting the garage. It's working it's way through my windows and doors, brrr!
soappie you're just like me :) I like to make a fuss of people, Christmas while the boys are little I'd prefer it just to be us, mainly so they can enjoy their presents and make as much of a mess as they like.
Michelle lovely to hear from you
vanilla well done on the exams, hope things are improving at home

Just been helping DS1 collect all his lego bits up, he struggles to pick them up, I need them some little boxes I think for some of their presents to keep them sorted, kids toys get smaller and smaller pieces as they get bigger.
One day I might be more organised...........

OH is speaking, sort of, very abruptly and only because we're the only ones in and he can't connect to the internet. Our home PC is wireless and for some reason he can't connect although DS and I have no problem. I did offer to have a look for him, but he declined. I know DS showed him exactly what to do last night.

Soappie - what an angel. :A

Triker - hope DH is going to be OK. Healing thoughts for him.

Mudbath - hope you are resting lots.

Thank you for all the hugs!

I'm still having trouble eating and drinking as I'm feeling yucky, but it's definitely one of the contraindications, so it's keep in to get rid of the Tracheitis, and keep the yucky feeling, or the reverse. Also, there is a distinct noise from my right lower lobe! DS can hear it quite clearly if he puts his head against my back.

I think I'll go and have some more boiled water!
