How is Jamie getting along? Does Poppy adore him? Is Poppy enjoying sharing all her attention???
Remind my baby brain - did you have high BP or low BP?? (not that I am obsessive or anything!!)
Thank you!
The poor lamb has colic!. But mostly at night when Daddy is home.
Poppy loves him but also likes to sit on my knee when I'm feeding him . I'm getting quite used to extreme-mutlti-tasking!.
I had high BP and was constantly shipped to the assessment unit (so much so that I took them a tin of Quality Street last week!).
How are you and BabyBug?

The purple box was £20 in my asda and was in the baby aisle but they had a more square shaped white box for £10 in the event bit.
and the avvy you just need to get used to itI got scared by how close Glamazon was to me so thought I best hide my identity a bit just in case someone I know joins:p
Oh, Sami I've just seen the above you've made me feel really bad now! Was only saying I work in Wigan - must admit I wouldn't put my own picture on and said where I lived but that's me. I would be mortified if someone came up to me and started talking about something I had discussed on here like perineum massage
Like the fact I can talk to people about things I probably wouldn't talk to people that I know about!
SozA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
r.mac, what are you still doing here?!
My MW's have told me not to use products on baby but I did and still use Johnsons Top to Toe on both Poppy and Jamie's hair (you might need something to get the, how shall I put it, 'mess' out of baby's hair after the birth!Thats assuming baby has hair as mine have both had lots!).
I still have my mostly untouched lilac case in the bathroom from when Poppy has born!

We're good thankyou SB - Bubba keeps getting hiccups and driving me crazy. My hips/pelvis cause me severe pain when I am in bed  but are fine most of the time and my BP is a little low....
...so nothing that a short labour and easy birth wouldn't resolve
Only 4 weeks and 4 days til D day :j
I am VERY excited and not in the slightest bit worried about the birth or the baby - I think I have an extreme case of denial going on :rotfl:please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Spot on MFD. Once breastfeeding is 'established' then it's ok to express milk and give it in a bottle, a lot of babies are able to swap and change between the two with no trouble... Some babies refuse to ever take a bottle... You just have to work out whats best for you.
With regards to breast pumps pulling nipples in, the action of the pump does this but it shouldn't be uncomfortable, if it's a hand pump, ease the pressure on the handle to lower the suction a little. If it's still not comfortable then take the pump off and adjust the position (just like you would with a baby) You don't have to rely on pumps though, if you ask at the hospital they should be able to show you how to hand express. Some women find they can do it better by hand than with a pump, but again, everyone is different....
Who mentioned grapes? Just munching my way through a bag... After the disappointment of the ginsters... I should be napping, but why do people wait until you've just dropped off to ring up?!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Every time someone mentions hand expressing I just think about milking a cow
I remember being at a petting zoo/farm place years ago and this poor patient old cow was stood in a stall, full of milk, whilst a queue of rowdy kids took it in turns to squeeze the poor old girls udders to try and get the milk out. She looked so sad, bless her :A
I don't want to be like that sad old cow :rotfl:please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Why, do you have a queue of school children lining up down the road waiting to swing off them?A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I can still remember the 'shoosshhhh-ooooshhhh, shoosshhh-ooooshhhh' of the hospital expressing machine. That thing was awesome! You did two at a time baby! And that didn't sook my nipples inside! LOL the little hospital bottles were too small I was filling two from each breast, giving DS2 a feed and still having to hand express inbetween! They had to bin more milk than DS2 was taking (nasal gastric tube). And that was after only a week!
Done some housework and just having my second lunch, pasta and a tuna steakI'm stabbin!
