Why do you think I'm taking my Mum, the doting first-time-granny-to-be? ;)

My mum is a bit peeved with me for getting a new pram and selling the one she got me:rolleyes: She also took it personally that i didn't like it that much, I chose it myself I just didn't know what I wanted/needed until I actually used it and discovered it wasn't for me. Its not like I could do anything about it now anyway I need to have space for 2 kids!

Well the plan for attack for tomorrow is head to Asda for about 8am (so leave home at 7!) and check out if they still have sterilisers and a few other bits I wanted to have a look at. Then on to Toys'R'Us to see if they have any of the cots in the sale that are sold out online :) Then on to the office... :)

Oh and I'd love to go to the NEC baby show... but it's on my due date! Really don't think I'll be in any fit condition to go! *wailing inconsolably*

Edited to say DH has cheered me up and promised me that as we can't really go to the NEC one he'll take me to the ExCel one in London despite how much we both hate going to London :D Did I mention I love him?

Funny moment from earlier.. OH popped next door to collect a parcel she'd taken in for us [Michael McIntyre DVD from Amazon!! ;)]. Same neighbour took in a parcel with "Mothercare" written all over it so knew before the 12wk point. She asked how I was, quickly followed by "When are you getting married?"...

We didn't realise she's a devout Catholic and is apparently actually quite mad with us that we're not married! OH got a long lecture off her about it, but surely the damage is done by now by conceiving already?! :o

He told her keeping a roof over my head and food on my plate was more of a priority than a big party [aka wedding].. Don't think that impressed her much either!

I know this one but not as bad, when Chris was about 8 mths we went to a special thing at FIL's church it was the church's anniversary so they had a caribean night with gospel choir and steel band, preacher and rice and peas :D
Whenever we got introduced to someone and they said "this is FIL's grandson, OH's son" the first thing they said was "oh i didn't know OH was married" and then nearly fainted when told they're not :p:rotfl:

PS i am not massively religious but not an atheiest either and IMHO God doesn't give two hoots if you're married or not :D

    Ditto! :D

When we do get married, it'll either be on a very hot beach or a country hotel type affair, with informal BBQ. Will be small, and the invitations are going to have something on them about us wearing jeans after 7pm and everyone else being very welcome to change out of their stuffy clothes and slob out with us and party in comfort in the evening! I can't let my grandparents down that much that I get married in jeans but it would be my preference! ;)
