  • Morning all :D

Well I've been missing for ages as quite frankly things have been pants to say the least

Basically, my mum was rushed back into hospital and has since been diagnosed with a deep set blood clot on her heart. At the moment she's stable and now back out of hospital after spending 2 weeks in but they've told us that it's too dangerous to remove and it's just a waiting game to see if it moves.

Then FIL got rushed in (a couple of days later) with a suspected heart attack, which has since resulted in him being told he needs a pacemaker, all OK so far until he stopped breathing and his heart rate dropped so low he was moved to ICU and we were asked for 3 days if and when we wanted them to stop treatment as he is already very ill with MS and to make matters worse he's caught pneumonia and MRSA since being in hospital!

Thank god we asked them to keep trying providing it was non invasive as he's started to show signs of recovery. Problem is they won't fit the pacemaker until all the infections are clear and the infections aren't clearing as his heart is so slow! So all in all it's a vicious circle. But at the moment we're keeping positive.

To say I've had a rough couple of months is an understatement! I've been popping back when I can to check how you all are and hopefully now everyone has stabilised I can take some time for me and the bump and start getting excited about pregnancy as at the moment it's the last thing on my mind.

Anyway off to catch up :-D

Where were we talking about the other day .... The Isle of White :D He's going to visit the wind turbine place I told you about

Tell him to keep an eye out for fudge and let me know where the good stuff is!

OH likes Wind Turbines. I don't understand why the blades are so thin. Why not have big wooden ones like old windmills?

That reminds me, need to book holiday, not done it yet

    Morning all :D

You all sound full of cheer ;):D

At the Asda in Stoke the Johnsons boxes were still £20  and after being informed at parentcraft last night that Johnsons products are the worst for causing reactions and allergies in the first 6 months I think I will steer clear. I still want a box...just not that one! Another one to add to the baby-list (like a wedding list but full of non-essentials for the baby) which is doing the rounds with my family and hubbys family at the moment.

Feelie - no harm in 'deciding' now, and waiting til later to buy. I have been buying steadily since about 32 weeks or so - I wouldn't have liked to have had all the stuff knocking around for much longer than that!

Sami - liking the new Avvy...but it is a little more difficult to spot you!

Went to MW this morning. Wee and BP fine, measuring fine, movements & heartbeat fine and generally no problems. Bubbas head is not engaged but she says he is there and ready to pop his head in any time now!! Not looking forward to that really - will it make my SPD worse (could barely walk when I got out of bed this morning).

And as I suspected, nothing that can be done about the hiccups - she says he is practicing his breathing!!
The purple box was £20 in my asda and was in the baby aisle but they had a more square shaped white box for £10 in the event bit.

and the avvy you just need to get used to it :D I got scared by how close Glamazon was to me so thought I best hide my identity a bit just in case someone I know joins:p

:rotfl:I think its mad how small they look when you see them on the moors but you can see the blades on google earth and they are mahoooooooosive!
I'm not sure he'll be much good at fudge finding tho, beer finding yes, fudge not so much :D he'll be working all day so he only gets to go out at night

    hello ladies and bumps!

Quick update on the raspberry leaf tea hunt. None of the major supermarkets have them, so health food shops are the best bet. I got 20 bags for £1.20 so in weeks 34/35 that's 12p a day.

If anyone is sceptical, like I was, about their effectiveness at strengthening the uterus, my Braxton Hicks feel much stronger since I've started taking them. Hoorah!

Is r.mac ok? Labour dust if you need it!;)

    Love to you all,

    Weezl x

Astonsmummy, wow DRAMA!!!! Hope your neighbour is ok and that the turd of a OH gets lost for good!

Feely, I'm only 9 weeks and have allready PLANNED what I'm going to buy, all I need now is time to fast forward. I will be getting some esentials at 24 weeks, prem nappies, sleepsuits and vests allready checked with mothercare etc, they will swap the prem sizes if I don't use them, or I may just hand them into the SCBU. Then a list will be left for boots with money in an envelope for sending DH into town if I am early. Last time I ended up in boots a week after having DS2 on day release from hospital and I am never doing it again!!

Got one pair of maternity jeans, not tried them on yet. My town centre is rubbish, only mothercare have maternity clothes! Got a £20 pair so quite happy. A few pairs of joggers for night time from primark and a subway:D

Tink - congratulations  on beating me to the prize for worst luck with parent health! My Mum had a massive hernia op at the end of nov and has had a few probs with that and at the same time my dad got in this order, a clold, flu, chest infection, pleurisy, pneumonia, double pneumonia and now has a DVT in his leg! He spent Christmas day in hospital :(

I'm not sure when you're due but make sure you ask about being tested for MRSA coz they will prob want to know that you've been in contact with some one with it before you give birth

MFD I've got a ginsters steak slice here if you want it... I was really enjoying one until I bit down on a chunk of bone... :(

Got halfway to the Drs and realised I hadn't eaten... They took an age in the chemist so Aimee didn't get to school till 10:50... She was very worried about missing her lunch! Took me 25 mins to struggle up the hill home... Think I'm going to have some French set yoghurt then nap on the sofa for an hour...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
