Hi ladies, had a bit of an eventful day which is a novelty for me of late lol

Went the Docs first, got signed off for another week and got a big bottle of Gaviscon which I was pleased with as I had it chronic last night and had ran out.

Then popped into work with my sick note and give my boss my mat leave letter and the stuff they need for my Maternity Allowance.

Then went to a friends who I haven't seen in ages and then went to watch son play Rugby for his school.

They had to play 4 other schools and his team thrashed the lot of them and won every game. Son even scored 5 trys in one match!! (Proud Mummy moment for me there! :D )

Went to McDonalds on the way home for tea (I know I know lol). Steve did actually want to go for a carvery but we couldn't as Jack was covered from head to toe in mud.

Had some exciting news today too ~ Steve was meant to be working with another bloke all of this week, he worked with him yesterday and only lasted till 10.30am with him today as his wife went into labour!! Her waters broke at 10.30am and she had the baby at 2.45.

Steve had to dash him to the hospital - he said he was almost as excited as the new Daddy to be, bless lol!

I'm all jealous and feeling sorry for myself now, I want my baby now too!
Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...
  • Me and OH 'sort of' tried for a few years, and nothing happened, so I just assumed that we couldn't have babies. Periods stopped so I took a test which was negative. They didn't return for a while, so I mentioned it to the GP while I was there. He told me it was probably because I'm so fat, but to do one more test before he investigates. Went home and did a test - almost fell over when it was positive! I was 11+5 when I found out! Having a short pregnancy is brilliant, I'm glad I missed out the scary bit at the beginning.

Hope you don't have long to wait for your scan!

That's so similar to what happened to me.
I went to the doc just before xmas and had blood tests to start the infertility check procedures and I fainted (which I had never done before) and thoughtn my missed periods (since october!) we're still the pill messing me around as they'd been all over the shop!
a week and a half later I did a test at 3am just for the sake of it and it was positive! Happy times! :D
I'm glad I missed out the first 3 months too (which sounds awful!) but atleats I know I have a little fighter in there now :)

Oohh.. Millie's Cookies?! My fav too! Haven't had them in ages!

Are there big discounts on prams at the Baby Show? OH is working the weekend of the Birmingham one (I'll be about 34wks then I think) but I'm thinking of going with my Mum to do the freebies collecting! :D We'll probably have bought the pram by then, or at least decided which one we want, so I could hold off getting it if there will be big discounts at the show. We'd go on Friday and Saturday if that makes any difference. Mum is already Googl'ing nearby hotels.. bless!

Might see you there Elle... I'm due that weekend but hoping to be able to get there... There's some fantastic discounts on a few things... Don't recall looking at prams when we were there but its worth going just for freebies and the special offers you can get on the day... I won't be booking advance tickets though....
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

nope :p sainsbury's bakery ;) oh well I enjoyed them while I could, Its a good job they don't make me swell up and block my throat isn't it!

I went to the manc one on the last day, got there about 2 or 3hrs before it closed and there were a few ex-display prams going for silly prices but no guarantee that they'll have the one u want.
Anyone know if the b'ham one is bigger? the manc one was tiny IMHO, the only time I've been to the NEC was for the clothes show live and that is mahoosive!

I went to the Birmingham one nearly 5 years ago... It was mahoosive! We were there all day just wandering around... We got there quite early and left when they were starting to pack up... They had a fashion show and seminars going on aswell as the stalls...
