Thanks for that. BP is a bit odd in that it goes up to 165/85, which seems very high for one, but normal for the other. I've got awful headaches and blurry vision. I don't want to take pain killers though, want to be able to tell if it gets worse.

I feel awful this evening. Silly me tried to do some tidying, and now I feel ready to collapse.

Thank-you for the reassurance. At the moment I just feel awful for being such a lousy incubator. Had to have medication for the severe morning sickness, SPD and now this :(

Aw sweetheart! You are not a lousy incubator! And honestly I know the feeling of failure when things go wrong, but some of us are just not natural baby makers and thats it. DS2 was called simply 'the paracite', I had hyper emesis, SPD, high BP... then his birth was just hellish.. but I can't help that. And if it happens this time, well, it won't be my fault. Just one of those things.

Now, your BP is not that bad. The top number is related to our stress levels. Have you a BP moniter for at home? You may find you just have white coat syndrome! Just the stress of being in the hot seat. See if you can borrow one or ebay (got one yesterday for £16). And seriusly make time to relax.

Take the pain killers, proper BP headaches come through the pain killers anyway! Some cold cucumber on your eyes help if your eyes are sore, mine always felt as if they were popping out. 4head is great for the headaches too if you have some, and safe during pregnancy.

You PM me if you wanna chat, you need a BP buddy! We had a wee club last time in hospital!
  • Blooming Bubba had hiccups again tonight - 20 minutes and counting

Spoke to the MW at Parentcraft about it tonight and she just laughed at me (as did the whole class :o ) useful

Top tip from PC class tonight - to check whether baby is passing urine properly in the first few days pop a few cotton wool balls in the front of a nappy. Apparently nappies are so absorbent these days it can be difficult to tell if the waterworks are working correctly.

I also passed on my tip of telling all my friends and family NOW that they are welcome to visit as long as they bring food/make drinks/fill & empty dishwasher/generally help with housework - the MW seemed to think it was the best idea in the world!!

(((HUGS))) to all those that need them.

That makes the baby event even more pants than I thought it was Sami - it was the only 'bargain' that I was pleased with :rotfl:

Seriously ladies - not worth the trip
Shall I make it worse? highlight below if yes
a lot of the time the huggies wipes have 1 free pack so are 5pks for £5 and recently morrisons had the 9pk boxes on offer at £7 (I bought 3 boxes :D)

Well I got my mum a baby gate £7 cheaper than argos price and bed rail £5 cheaper as per plan so I'm happy with that

AF not caught up so soz if someone's already posted but I looked in the normal bedding aisle aswell for non baby related stuff and I notice they have cheap cream bedding but only, moses basket, cot, cotbed no crib :p

  • Sami - maybe you misunderstood me before - I bought 2 packs of 4 for £5...so 8 packs of wipes in total.

    Is that better

  • Rant Warning Ladies

Some of the oldies around here may remember I passed on a tip about ordering the Mamas and Papas catologue online and receiving a £5 gift card. I have just ordered some nursery furniture from M&P and it says my gift card is out of date

I am so peed off - I know it was a fiver for nothing but I can't have had the bl00dy catalogue for longer than 7 months because I haven't known I am pregnant for that long  I have probably had it for 4 or 5 months at most. Cheeky bleeders

Moral of the story ladies - if you are given a gift card for nothing then use it asap.

I will try and use it in the shop next week where I can have a moan at the manager (or better still a cry!)

PS - I ordered the Murano furniture which is on sale at the moment and is surprisingly good value for M&P!! http://www.mamasandpapas.co.uk/product-murano-cotbed-ivory/360203310/type-i/

    Hi all..

I've had a crappy day. Nothing major happened - just lots of stupid people asking stupid questions at work. Usually I can tolerate it and just smile through it but I had a short fuse today and I think I let it show. Just a shame said stupid people can't see that they're being stupid then ask more stupid questions like "Are you alright?" and "Is it something I've done?" but I'm not brave enough to point out exactly what - they're all senior to me which is what annoys me so much cos they should know the answers to what they're asking little me! Grrr.. Is "mad pregnant lady syndrome" a suitable excuse for a meltdown in the corridor?

I came home and crashed out on the sofa after work so didn't go swimming :( I've just woken up and don't feel too great now..

I'm 15+2 today and getting a bump. Well, if you don't look too closely I look like a normal size eight now, but if I've got a tight top on and you know me, you'd think I look definitely pregnant! ;) When I sneeze, the very bottom of my bump all tenses up then takes ages to relax and hurts a bit for a while afterwards.. is that normal??

Am at the midwives' tomorrow for blood tests.. fingers crossed she can get something out of me this time!

I can remember my bump going funny when I sneezed but it doesn't anymore... Did mean to mention to the midwife about how often it goes rock hard... But she wasn't a very welcoming midwife (plus I spent half the appointment trying to squeeze a wee out and get it into the tiny pot... I missed and got my hand so she had a dribble to test...) So I didn't ask anything I meant to... At least I can console myself that it's bound to be a different one in four weeks when I go back...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Aaaah You're an :A - that's the one I found before it went missing off another website - couldn't find it again!! Just what I want, am hoping to find one in a shop to take a proper look!! I haven't joined TAMBA yet, still thinking about it :D

I got a look at it at The Baby Show after I emailed leebruss and they said they would be there, very nice polite peeps, I must say the pram is gorgeous but so big I don't think you would get around anywhere but supermarkets as it really is big and I assume heavy.

When is the next Baby Show? I'm quite taken by one of the Leebruss prams - it's similar to the SX classic.

ETA: Sorry.. lazy me! Answer here :)
