At least you guys get gaviscon, I get the cheap generic version, only comes in aniseed flavour and you have to take double the amount of gaviscon to have any effect... Its so rank! Seeing the MW today so might see if she can do me a script for actual gaviscon...
The cat was just lying across my bump and baby kicked him, he looked ever so surprised! My comedy moment of the day...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Krystal I am just waiting for that moment myself
I have 2 cats - one of them has turned very clingy during the pregnancy (well she was ALWAYS a mummys cat... but more so recently) and one of these days when she's laid across my belly the baby is BOUND to kick her *insert evil grin* and I KNOW it'll be a cat straight in the air with a yowl the likes of which you've never heard :rotfl:
Still can't decide on whether to go in to the office or not... I DO have to go in on thursday anyway whether I want to or not... client on site - but will all the good stuff have gone? HmmmmDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

morning ladies,

morning - just checking in with you all
AF - I have been lucky and not really suffered heartburn, but took the tablets (gaviscon double action) I just bought them as I've only used one packet and checked with the pharmacist that it was ok to take them. They just taste minty to me.
off for that reflexology now so will see you back here later no doubt!!!r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
I only got offered the liquid stuff and honestly don't like the tablets either lol - I mainly take Tesco's own brand ones because I can deal with them... there is just something in Gaviscon that I find yuckyDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Snap! It makes me heave - which then means I can throw up, leaving me with acidy taste/ bile in my throat anyway - so lalmost ittle point in taking the stuff to begin with:mad: At least my GPs now prescribe the generic version - at one point they were even refusing to do that for pregnant people  .. I had proper gaviscon with DD and it is so much nicer (if such a thing is possible!):rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Although if I did have proper gaviscon I'd have it in aniseed anyway - mint makes me vomit when pg (hence why I'm on kiddy fruity toothpaste)
Have been avoiding it as much as possible and drinking lots of warm milk (nuked in micro for 2 mins and 1/2 tsp sugar added) instead.

I've decided that I'm going to buy things after my 34 week scan. I've been having a browse around, and think I'll go for the Emmaljunga Smart Duo Combi:

Good morning!
Caz - Charlie was just the cutest little mite wasn't he (and still is I'm sure) but yes...he does look massive!
Hiccups - there will be no doubting them if your baby gets them - think persistant 'flicking' (good description Krystal) for 30, 40, 50 mins at a time  At least when he is out ladybird I can laugh at his hiccups and try to help him rather than having to try to move me and/or him to see if they will stop!
My bump has got even lowerand my SPD is really playing up. Seeing the midwife tomorrow but I think he is definitely engaged. Might need to rethink my maternity leave plans...
