    Debt-free and Proud!
As I've had a miscarriage, it is essential for my peace of mind. Today I feel really worried and am even scared to use the doppler to check but I will make myself when I go to bed.

What's for you won't go past you
  • 7:30 this evening I got a call from the surgery (they do late nights on monday) saying that there was a prescription waiting for me and I needed to get it ASAP. Receptionish had no idea what it is for so I went to fetch it and it's ferrous fumate - iron tablets. No-one has spoken to me about it and the midwife hasn't tried to ring my mobile even though she has my number.

Looks like something must have come up on my booking in bloods but would have been nice for someone to tell me about it! Have been to fetch them from Tesco pharmacy and they say 1 tablet twice a day - perhaps I will stop feeling so wiped soon then!

MaxiCosi gets some of the best safety ratings and I think comes top of the Which polls too which is why we all go on about them so much here :)
The MaxiCosi has a clip base - one clip thingy - which I have to say is great - you can VERY easily see if it's in properly and the base stays in the car when you take the seat out :)

Which is why I'm getting it :D plus my mum has a 0+1 seat and its a bit of a pain getting bubs out while its rearward facing (but it was the only one that would go in her stoopid imported japanese car! I told her not to buy such a silly car but did she listen?!)
unfortunately the base costs nearly £90 - thats £25 more than I got the seat for! luckily for me my lovely MIL is buying the base for us:T
I won't be using carseat on pram either this time so bit better for bub's back

Well I've just tried out my wrap sling (with the help of Chris's Winnie the pooh teddy) and it was actually quite easy :j the sling is MASSIVE as a piece of fabric tho, it will take some practice to avoid it getting in puddles when getting bubs into it when out and about

    hi ladies,

sami - thanks soooooo much for the sniper advice :T :T . managed to win my item tonight - a maternity night with breastfeeding vents (whatever that means) but it will be going in my hosptial bag (or massive suitcase).

and thank you for the Happy Australia Day wishes.........really kind of you

MFD - i am sure bubs had hiccups over the weekend, early hours sunday morning (waiting for hubby to come home). felt different to kicks and they were really quick sensations so i think it must have been hiccups.

hubby put his ear to my belly this evening becuase i had read about sometimes hearing the baby's heartbeat. i held my breath so he couldn't hear mine, but he thinks he heard bub's heartbeat :T :T

Leebruss premier twin (I can't link straight to pram so u will need to look for it) this pram is HUGE tho but is the only "proper pram" that is twin as far as I know.
there are other ones that have carrycots and then a seat unit but they don't have the suspension bouncy bits

Have you joined TAMBA? Ickle said they gave good advice about which pram to buy

Don't think the baby will be big enough for you to feel at 24 weeks - think I felt it first about 32 or 33 weeks...now I am fed up of feeling it :rotfl:

Funny thing is hubby HATES getting hiccups so we have this image of Bubba effing and blinding about his hiccups and getting himself really worked up!!!

Not sure if its hiccups, but sometime I can feel him having weird spasms. Think that is hiccups? Its like he is vibrating a bit!

He has been having an uncomfy day today - he has turned round at least 20 times. Woke up this morning, and I had a leg sticking out of my bump - so a weird bump and my bump! He keeps turning round and I just see a big buldge moving across my stomach.

I can't eat now, Glucose Tolerance Test tomorrow. I want supper :(
