Ah so you're a couple of weeks late applying yourself (well not late, but you can claim from 26 weeks can't you) - by the time I get the stuff back from work which I need, i'll be about 27/28 weeks.

When are you asking for yours to start? I'm starting my Mat leave on the 1st April, so want it to start at the beginning of that week.

Yeah, please let us know how long it takes to hear anything back xxx
I'm starting mine from 29 weeks which is next monday.
I havent actually done any shifts at work for the last couple of weeks but as I'm bank staff it doesnt really matter to work.
I'm not even 100% sure if I will be going back to work when it runs out, might leave it till bubs is 1 or something.
I'll let you know as soon a I her anything xx

I'm gonna have to go back to work, don't know what i'll do though with my currect job, cos what I pick up with one hand, I'll give to the childminder with the other hand

Was thinking of looking for 2/3 nights somewhere (no need for childcare then), but that depends if there are any jobs going at the time!

I've told my Mum and Dad that they are rubbish Grandparents, they should be old and retired so they can help out, not each holding down a full time job!

I AM joking by the way! :p

Thanks all, I shall go and have words now, you've inspired me to action!:T:T:T

About the knicker thing, I got a cheap 4 pack of hi-leg black knickers at asda, 2 sizes up from where I usually am, and they still seem ok. I'm 34 + 4 today so they might last the pregnancy out!

Bra-wise I'm another underwire fan, and find other bras agonising, even though I read all the scary things about increasing mastitis etc... I'm normally a 32D but have gone up to a 36D. I really like M and S 'minimiser' range, because I feel really snugly held in place IYSWIM?!

Thanks for letting me join in too by the way, I know a lot of people join in much earlier in their pregnancy, so it's nice to still be able to chat with only 5 weeks to go!;)

    Love to all,

    Weezl x

Oh God I forgot, you're ready to drop anytime now aren't you!

Well there you go then, when you have baby, the FIRST person who asks if there is anything you need/want, ask them to get you some nursing bras! That way you won't have to worry about it and someone else can do the running round for you lol xx

See, they're the exact same knickers I've got, so why don't they roll down on you? Not fair! :( lol

Oooh I've just remember that I'm waiting for £50 of m&s vouchers to come though from Steves Grandparents getting Sky and us referring them!

I might just have to treat myself to some per una PJs and a dressing gown for my hospital bag! :D

rmac, be prepared for your boobies to increase even more when baby is about 3 days old... they will go down again once milk supply settles though... And watch that the supportive part of the camisole top doesn't dig in anywhere even just a tiny bit, ducts don't take much encouragement to block...

Weezl, did you get them out? I'd go nuts if someone sparked up in my house, it's been a smoke free zone for 5 years now... (nearly 6 actually!) If it's raining my Mum has been known to ask 'where can I smoke?' I tell her she has two choices... Outside the front... Or outside the back...

I'm not having a good day... Have spent half the morning in tears... It's a mixture of hormones and hubby's persecution complex... Which leads to him telling me I never have anything nice to say to him... I do.. He just forgets when I've said something nice and holds on to when I've taken the mickey...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

See we havent even looked over finances to see if it will be a definate must that go back to work straight away, if i can avoid it i will, if not i'll just try and do as minimal as possible, say 1 night a week or something.

  • re bras - the nursing ones I bought at 38 weeks are too small for me now! I'm hoping everything settles down a bit soon, as I can't wear breast pads without a bra to hold them in place, and I'm leaking everywhere:eek: It's a good thing I don't have to go for lunch with the queen or anything ;)
