Mooki, how did you get on with your prison visit the other day? (just seen you as last poster on another thread so thought you might be here soon!)0

have just stuffed my face with spag bol and lewis big choc birthday cake so feeling a lot better:D but ate it all on my own plate sitting down so think that the calories will stick lol!!! OH in the bath so thought id nip on before im ordered off to bed and not allowed to do anything!
AM ADHD can be controlled by diet, am not sure about all the ins and outs but im sure if you spoke to a dietician or googled it you could find something! and i agree with the drugs thing they seem to hand them out too freely and considering the fact they do not know the long term implacations of them i would be worried about giving any of mine them.
i dont think that i am actually asleep for long enough to dream but it cant be nice having nightmares all the time *hugs*What's for you won't go past you0 -
i've debated on the swaddling blanket. Have you used one before? DS hated being all swaddled up. He fussed like crazy. He was a "sleep on his back with arms and legs straight out" right from day one. But DD loved being snuggled up in a blanket, all swaddled up. I think most babies like it, don't they?
he had to go in his cot earlier than i would have liked as he flung his arms around in the crib and kept waking himself up so i thought I would do a pre-emptive strike on this baby0 -
I've been having odd dreams... The other night me and hubby had a 3way with Kevin Bacon
(Hubby wasn't so keen on this one when I told him...) and last night I went and got drunk with my little brother and we stayed in a hotel.. But it was a bit fawlty towers so we moved to a different hotel.. But by this time I was too drunk and didn't remember moving... No real nightmares as such but I do remember when I was having Aimee I dreamt I was in a taxi and it ran my neice over and dragged her down the road... It was really vivid and even thinking about it now makes me feel rotten... Hope I don't get anything similar this time!
Dominos very kindly sent me some 50% off vouchers through the post so that's what I'm cooking for tea tonight... (Might eat it standing up.. A girl can dream) And hubby has said he will empty and restuff the dishwasher and do the cat tray and swap the washing in the washer and dryer so I don't have to bend over it... I am a little less annoyed with him nowA very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Sami - this is probably one for you!
Diets recomend grating the cheese as you tend to use less as it looks like there is more than there is and for say cheese on toast you physically can't fit as much on the slice of bread as if it were sliced :T
Saves money too as it lasts longer:money:0 -
just me then with the nightmares
... maybe i just got to many things on my brain ... feel like crying at the mo not completely sure why ... darn hormones x
Still searching .....:)

You're not alone with the nightmares searching! I've been having some horrid ones in the 2 or so hours of sleep i manage to get a night...last night i dreamt that i had my baby but someone had swapped it with a 1.5 yr old child and I kept trying to see the doctors about it to get my baby back but they kept telling me I had post natal depression and that i was rejecting my baby, it turned out they'd sold my baby to an australian couple....
It really upset me....
Oh and one more for the eating theories is if you go out for a meal with a female friend and they eat more than you then the calories in your meal don't count!0 -

The doctor said he displays ADHD symptoms, I thought he was too young
He is going to liase with the doctor who comes to the school and get her on the case as she can see him 'in action' at school and get proper feedback from his teachers.
I personally think he is jumping the gun a bit, he's not even 5 yet!
hes said he doesnt want to prescribe medication because of his age - damn right, i'm not pumping my boy full of drugs!
I just feel a bit weird now, I'm not really sure what to think or what i'm supposed to do.
I will have a word with his teacher tommorrow and see what she says, then i guess it's just a case of waiting to see what this other doctor says, he's also going to contact DS SALT.
I'm sure he's not got it, but then would he say that if he really didnt think it
Interesting I had this conversation with a neighbour last night about her grandson - he is very introvert so it's not ADHD but it is a behavioural issue as he purposely acts like a mentally "!!!!!!" child the second he thinks someone is "assessing" him... and he's younger than 5
As she said she'd recommended that her daughter allow them to assess and keep an eye on him because ultimately it will mean more 1 to 1 for him which is good and if there is any aspect of his teaching plan she doesn't agree with then she can and she will always have the last say on any other "treatment" like drugs (which they too are totally against like you) - just because he has ADHD doesn't mean that he's remedial or slower than other kids - just means he might need some help with diet and some more 1 to 1 in lessons to keep him interested - which will be good for both him AND the other children in his group

I'm going to have a play with the doppler (now that pressing on my belly won't make me sick!). Money maker, you had another go with yours yet?
I tried again tonight and still cant find the heartbeat, but can hear strange swishing noises !!!!
Bump is moving so I'm not too worried, but it would be nice to hear bubs !!The two best things I have done with my life

STOPTOBER CHALLANGE ... here we go !!0 -
I heard LO's heartbeat for the first time yesterday! Nice & strong, quite fast, and very comforting.
MM - MW put it on my belly just to the left of my belly button (as I look at it) and slightly further up (towards my ribs). She got the heartbeat first time, but then that's her job!
I was expecting to feel baby move before now (I felt Imogen move at 16 weeks) but I'm not feeling anything consistently. A few bubbles and a few butterflies, but nothing I can say is definitely the start of anything. Does that make sense to anyone?MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090
