I say "I'm 21wks, due beginning of June" and they can decide how many months they call it :)
and technically a month is 4.2 or 4.3 weeks :D

well if you don't mind 2nd hand I'd happily let you have my car seat to save you some pennies

oohh I've just seen Obama being sworn in and it made me well up!

    oh bless you sami.

if we dont go for the M&Ps option (which does come with the car seat) i will let you know.

your advice yesterday re the car seat was helpful, becuase it made me look at the M&Ps car seat with more interest (does look longer than silver cross one)

  • Hello!
I had my 22week scan yesterday and the sonographer thinks bump may be a girl (although due to my deep seeded issues with pink I have told my mum that if it is a girl we will tye dye any pink baby clothes) :D

Oh and a bit of a random one but I have found a love for rice crispy treats and in true MSE style found its cheaper to make than buy!

    150g Marshmallows
    20g butter
    1/2 tsp vanilla essence
    Lots of rice crispies

    Melt butter in a pan
Add marshmallows and stir till melted
    Add vanilla and stir in
Add Rice crispies and stir till coated
with greased hands place the mix in a greased dish and leave to cool

Result yummy rice crispy treats!!! Num num!
    DS1 arrived 22/02/11! 8lb3oz
    DD1 arrived 20/05/09 10lb3oz

ticklepenny - glad your scan went well. i dont envy you if you are having a girl but have a dislike of pink. the sets produced all seem to be pink don't they.

although, i have some nice lemon and lime pits and pieces.

that recipes sounds nice, a little like a mars bar slice i used to make a long time back

  • Recently I have started baking more and more.... I am now addicted. Today I am off work so will be cooking Goat Korma (hehe) with Aloo Gobi and Naans all from scratch but I will cheat and buy the poppadoms because I prefer them from the shop lol.

    Warning Rant!
I cant believe that the main option for girls clothes is pink. When I was younger I was always a tomboy (still am a bit). When I was 8, my mum asked me what colour I wanted my room and I chose blue. I went away to my grandparents for a week and came back to a fuscia pink bedroom, I was so upset I slept in the living room for a week. Ever since then I have hated pink - I think I am too good at holding grudges lol. But why do girls have to have pink? My favourite colours from when I was little to now have been - blue, purple, black and red. Hurumph - Rant over!

I know what you mean, I love pink but that doesn't mean if I get a girl I want her dressed head to toe in blooming pink everyday! I was a tom boy when I was little but went all girly at about 15 :D
at least once you get to about 3-6mth clothes there is more choice, boots usually have some lovely navy and red outfits for girls :T

I don't like slogan t-shirts for chris coz they usually say something about being noisy or trouble and my LO is neither (usually)
