Also is there a mc thread? i could ask questions in as i'm sure it's the last thing you lovely ladies want to hear about.

There used to be one, but it got closed - I think I read it all at the time but don't recall this coming up there. I just Google'd (not always the best thing to do!) "rising HCG levels after m/c" and it threw up quite a few links to other forums. Hope you find answers soon xx0 -

I don't think there is a MC thread here, the ttc with complications thread my have more experience or I would try one of the parenting/pregnancy website forums I'm sure if u google pregnancy or MC forum it will come up with loads xx0 -
And just to add insult to injury our dishwasher appears to have just packed up... so that's new fridge/freezer and new dishwasher and potentially a house insurance claim too... great... marvelous! And DH laptop is on it's last legs (or so he claims... ok I grant him it needs a new battery but other than that it's ok... just needs a rebuild...)
Best to get them all out the way now so they don't blow up when you've got a screaming baby in your arms too!0 -

I think a pregnancy website is a good idea. I like the Baby and Bump forum, they've got a miscarriage section:
http://www.babyandbump.com/miscarriage-support/Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
Not your responsibility to find your replacement nor train them, surely? What would they do if you were signed off from 26wks?
When does your holiday year run to/from?
Ours is April to March and I get 25 days holiday. I can use however much I want between April and mid-July and what I don't use, they'll either pay up or let me carry over into the next year (assuming I don't go back until the following July). These are our rules though, not statutory. As they only pay SMP, I suppose they've got to be generous on something!
Holiday year from 1st of Jan to 31st of Dec - and no it's not my responcibility - however if I intend to come back at some point then someone has to have trained my cover because right now there is no-one else with the client knowledge and they are already the most difficult account we have and being left high and dry could be the final straw for them... when I was signed off sick I still ended up doing their monthly review papers because no-one else could...

Speaking of other () forums, has anyone signed up to the BabyWorld antenatal clubs and got an email about them today? They used to be free but now they're charging £50 a month for membership!!
I joined the first time I was preg but they were very cliquey (is that the right word?) and I didn't like them at all. I never went back to cancel my membership after the m/c and haven't looked at them once since I got preg this time.0 -

I know... it's just that all our appliances are silver and they are more expensive than white ones to replace... Seriously I could cry right now...

Sorry, didn't mean to sound like I was having a go - very hypocritical of me actually, cos I'm going to have to train my cover too! Plus I'm the one who is best trained to do payroll input and the only full-timer trained to do the recruitment testing (£800 one day training course!) so I'm not sure what they're going to do about that.. :cool:0 -
