On a baby urelated issue...I had ds2's first speech and language assessment today, he has to have two more, but she think he is OK, and may not need any additional help....
On the other hand his teacher has referred him to the school doctor to assess his fine motor skills, and he is going to be assessed for Dyslexia too, which she (and I) am pretty certain he has:(

I hope they hurry up as it will mean trips to different clinics etc...and with no car it is going to be a pain, when I am ready to drop this one!

Good luck with all that, DS has just been signed off from his SALT, but now has to see a child development doctor about his behaviour at school and lack of attention, got that appt tommorrow :o

    Morning all,

I think I missed something yesterday .... Krystal or Sami ... biological nursing???

Must trawl through the threads yesterday to find it.

Any ladies fancy sharing what they eat in a day (on average), nothing specific if you do not like. I know I do not sit down to a proper dinner, hubby works nights so doesn't want a real dinner at night, and i honestly do not feel like a dinner either.

Well AF I'm just tucking into a bowl of strawberry onken yoghurt with 2 handfuls of muesli mixed in :) Lunch is usually something like ryvita with cheese (although have now run out of danish cheese so will have to think of something else - drat!) and dinner is anything... lasagna, cheese on toast, risotto... whatever I feel up to cooking...
Snacks are mixed - until recently I had gone of chocolate (yes I know... WEIRD!) but it's gradually making a come back... so maybe a choccie bar, usually at least one apple, last night I had a jam doughnut, banana loaf... mixed really but more often than not it involved fruit and or carrots :)
I'm not consciously trying to be healthy... it's just that I want fresh tasting stuff... :)

Biological nurturing is a new approach to breastfeeding, just google it and loads of links will come up...

I always start the day with breakfast cereal... Usually crunchie nut cornflakes but this morning it was rice crispie multi-grain things that hubby got Aimee yesterday... Bless him, he came in and said they were 'prehistoric'.... They contain prebiotics... Anyway... Sandwich for lunch and last night did potato gratin with smoked salmon.. Tonight I might pick up a pizza or something from tesco seeing as I'm in town... And I usually have a snack when I give Aimee her tea because hubby isn't back till late so we don't often eat before 7:30 and I'd never last that long with nothing!

Off to get my hair cut at 11:30 and I have no idea what I'm going to have done!!! It's down to my bum at the back and really thick but I need something more manageable before baby makes an appearance... Not sure if I want to go straight into a bob though! (Hubbies devestated, he loves my long hair!)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

thanks ladies for the info re what you are eating.

maybe i am eating a little bit less, but having a higher than normal BMI to start i have been worried about putting on too much weight, but saying that i have not been dieting by any stretch of the imagination. still having a fair share of rubbish food.

might just try adding in snacks here and there.

thanks Krystal, i will google the biological nursing and see what comes up

    Hi

Just wanted to join, did my test last night and positive (obviously). 5 weeks on Thursday so still in early stages but will be keeping an eye out for any savings I can make and advice I can take and offer. Especially from those of you trained in Breastfeeding support - I have had 2 breast reductions but would still really like to breastfeed if possible.

This will be my first baby and I'm so excited. :j

Where does the time go?
