Thanks for letting me know Elle!
Maybe I'll get to bed early and manage the early start for toddler group 2mo, its been so long no-one there even knows I'm pregnant:o
Well I've got to go pick up Chris from his Grandma's and then we'll be going to another 2nd b-day party _party_
    xx

Thanks for all the replies. Just to point out that it's someone that works with my daughter that is pregnant, but she is hoping to try for a baby in the next couple of years hence why this has worried her as well. It seems I misheard her on the phone as well, the pregnant woman is in her early 20's and has worked there since leaving school, over 6 years so I'm sure that she has a case to be called an employee.
Well if it doesn't go well for her friend, she's got a while to try and find work with a decent employer. ;)
I don't envy her I used to waitress while at school/college and I don't think I could manage all the standing, carrying etc while preg and I'm only young :o

    Morning all...

I have woken up with toothache again today, I had some paracetamol at about 8am, which are wearing off now so will get some more in half hour. I really should go and get this tooth sorted out, i'm not even scared of the dentist, just lazy:)

Dh has gone out to buy a new lock for his bike, so I have given him instructions to pick up supplies on the way home, and not to forget some chocolate, which is probably going to aggravate my tooth even more, but I seem to be losing weight, so am going to eat a bit more this week.
I have been following Slimming World but fairly flexibly and so far have only put on 1st 2oz, which for me is great with just over 7wks to go....as with ds1 I gained 4st, and ds2 3.5st....I did not want to put on that much again, hence sticking to SW...however I certainly do not want to lose weight whilst pregnant, I just want to gain slowly and steadily.

  • Morning ladies - I took notes but I still can't guarantee I haven't missed anything but here goes.

Searching - re glider chairs. I have been thinking about these and about nursery furniture sets and have found this website:
    http://www.kiddies-kingdom.com/product.aspx?cID=73&pID=102
It does free glider chairs with some of the furniture ranges (and some of them aren't that expensive, if you were going to buy a range anyway). I have been wondering whether I can buy a set and then ebay some of the bits that I don't want to recoup some of the money
God knows why I keep going back to have another look - I can't fit in all that furniture and a glider chair anyway :rotfl:

My kiddicare order didn't track on quidco - anyone else had it take a while? I ordered on friday afternoon (a substantial amount :o ) - have never put in a query on quidco...any advice?

Baby milk! I am going to try to breast feed but I have bought a couple of bottles 'just in case' I was thinking of getting a couple of cartons too - or is that being a bit too control-freakish?!!

    McSmiler - 6 days to go :j :j

Lindsay - congrats & welcome :D God how I remember that awful tiredness (like it was deep inside you and there is nothing that you can do to make it better). Mine got better around week 15 and now at 34 weeks I am still doing okay. Don't get me wrong, I get tired, but just not that awful 'in your bones' tired that I had at the start. Hope this helps!!

Catz - I was up 7 times in the night to pee last night :p

Feelie - what a cutie!! And how sweet are his little hands :D It's horrible falling isn't it - take it easy and pamper yourself a little.

SB - thanks for the heads up on the baby event - will wait to pick up a steriliser and other bits then!

    Hope everyone is well.

how often do they have these? I'm not due till July so wasn;t going to buy things just yet. Is there likely to be another one before July?

I've just done a search on the forums and it looks like there was one last January and one in September.

I know what you mean OP! I'm about a week or so behind you and sometimes when I think baby is rolling round, sometimes rolling so he's back to back with me (naughty baby!) I say to OH it feels like a washing machine is going on in there, or at worst like I'm on a rollercoaster - I get that same 'weightless' feeling in my belly as if you're going over the top of a rollercoaster or a big bump in the road and it's not nice!

With last baby I eventually chose induction at 43 weeks because she wasn't coming out on her own so I keep thinking I don't have 4 weeks to go, it's gonna be more like 7 or more LOL!

  • Hi everyone,

Thought I'd best stop lurking and say hello!

I'm Helen, and I'm 14+6 with our first baby :j

I'm currently still suffering with morning sickness...boooooo! And am hoping that it's going to bog off soon so I can start feeling a bit more like normal before my bump takes over and I start feeling like a whale!

We live in Milton Keynes. So :hello: to any local people.

Um...that's about it! So hello all, looking forward to picking everyones brains!! We shall be on a very strict budget once this little nipper arrives, and we're planning on spending as little as possible getting kitted out before the arrival!

    Helen x

    Hi all,

Been lurking here for a couple of weeks since finding out I am pregnant, so thought I would join the other newbies and say hello. This is my first pregnancy, so I am needing lots of advice, although I must confess, I don’t think I am going to have the time to keep up with all of your chat – I will do my best though! I haven’t been to the doctors yet (appointment was for Friday, but doctor was off sick!) but going this Tuesday.

I have a couple of minor worries – I had pains before Christmas and the doctor thought it might be a kidney infection. I have since provided 4 samples to them (although they have given me no indication of why they need them) but the last time the receptionist muttered something about “short of red blood cells”, so I have self diagnosed myself as anaemic! We’ll see what they say on Tuesday. Other than that, I am constantly shivering and really cold. Has anyone else experienced this? No idea if it’s related to pregnancy or not.

I have calculated my due date to be around 17 September, but hope to get it confirmed at some point.

Thanks in advance for all the help and support that you all give to everyone.
