I have to agree with Sami. It seems a little odd if this is coming out of the blue. There should have been something previously to this to indicate there were problems. Have you had any other reviews at all? What were they like?MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0

Shellsuit depending on how quick you're gonna pay the full amount you may be better off signing up for the mothercare card and getting everything together as you get 10% what you're buying (well as far as I know that promo is still running) the interest is something ridiculous so its only worth it if you're gonna pay the full amount when the bill comes0

Evening all.
Elastigirl and bumblebee - I am so sorry for your losses. Take good care of yourselves and make sure your OH's pamper you a little.
Sami - I am allergic to penicillin and the MW barely batted an eyelid when I told her - will remind her tomorrow when I see her.
Elle - wait til you get really big and you look down and think OMG I am massive and you can't do anything to suck it in :rotfl:
LP - so sorry your appraisal was poo. Do you realistically think you can turn it around whilst pg or do you need to speak to someone about how to go forward? And actually, didn't someone say something to you a while ago about you doing a fab job (was that you???)
Went to my first 'Parentcraft' class this evening. It was very forward thinking (active birth, no lying on your back, preventing intervention) which I thought was great.
Some of it was a little new age possibly (giving birth to your placenta naturally should be part of the experience, who care if it takes an hour?...well, actually missy I care! I want to deliver the placenta as quickly as possible so I can get down to the business of being with my gorgeous new Bubba) but all in all I was very happy.
Hubby is now very interested in a water birth (a minor miracle but I am over the moon!!)
And best of all absolutely NO videos of giving birth, which saved me from the dilemma of excusing myself. I have never seen a video of giving birth, I have never watched a birth and I absolutely did not want to start now but I didn't want to cause a fuss if they showed one.
(((HUGS)))

Just popping in to let you know about today but won't hang around for replies coz I feel rubbish with back/hips and headache
Only in A&E with dad for about 2hrs so pretty quick  I knew what they's do as I had suspected DVT while preg last time. his blood test came back high so they gave him a job of thinner and sent him home with some more, district nurse will come round to jab him everyday until he goes for a veinogram on monday then depending on what that shows he'll either be free to go or be put on warfarin (sp) tablets. no surprises for me but I think mum was upset that chris spent half is b-day in A&E but he was fine, he loves his Granddad and he'll see his b-day as being saturday when we're having a knees up
I'm soo glad he absolutely LOVED his main pressie (Fifi Flowertot tea set) He is usually present obsessed, so much so at Christmas he opened half of everyone elses! but he just wanted to play at having a tea party, it was about 15 mins before he begrudgingly opened his others :rotfl: hubby isn't happy that I got him a "gay" present but I don't care he loves it and it is soo won't "make him gay"
I'm sorry to hear bad news from bumble and elasti I hope you're coping ok xx0 -
MFD - I have never liked the birth videos either. We've been through it before a few times, so we won't be going to a class, just getting a tour of the maternity/delivery area of the hospital. Congrats on your DH being interested in a water birth. I will admit to some curiousity about it, but as long as I have a big tub to sit in for some of the labour, I'm happy.MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0

MFD: last preg it was barely mentioned about penicillin but every single MW that see's my notes asks me about it, aparently my hospital notes will have a different coloured sticker on them so you can see from a mile away I'm allergic
Night all, what do you think of my new (to me) trainers? (i got them nearly new off ebay for £13 :T)

Sami - I think a tea set is a cute pressie for Chris (happy birthday to the little sweetie by the way) - men are so silly sometimes!!
Triggles - when I first mentioned a waterbirth to DH (I was probably only about 8 weeks at the time, it was one of the leaflets the MW gave me at checking in appointment) he went all caveman on me and basically said I would give birth on a 'table' like a normal woman and not put myself at risk
I have kept quiet about it (best way with my hubby) and just said 'possibly' when the MW or anyone asked me about it...and now he has seen it and found out a bit more he thinks it might be a good idea and wants to go on the courseplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Love your trainers Sami! Genius idea.. velcro, so when you're too big to bend down, Chris can do them up for you!
I'm really struggling with all this eating (but I guess it's preferable to struggling with feeling sick!).. I've literally eaten the cupboards bare of all instant foods! Have just ordered some bits from Tesco to be delivered tomorrow night.. tried to be healthy and get melon, grapes and crackers to snack on, but some Hula Hoops and Jaffa Cake cake bars seem to have fallen into the virtual trolley too, oops!0 -
Elastigirl and Bumblebee, I am so, so sorry to hear of your losses. I have been there, and it is just the most awful time ever, not only because there is so much awful physical stuff going on (mine lasted two weeks of cramps and bleeding) but also you just feel so bereft and empty. I remember my OH saying 'we can have another baby' and I just wailed ' I want THIS ONE' like a woman possessed. It is so awful.
I had to keep giving blood - three times in the end cos they lost one lot - so I know how dreadful it is to keep having to go back, it feels like it will never end.
Just be kind to yourselves, take time off work, don;t do a thing, get your OH to cook for you, and just be so kind to yourselves.
If you want to rant please PM me, I am happy to chat. I think it really helps to talk to other women who've miscarried.
and think of it this way - some babies are just too good for this world and god takes them back early cos He wants them in Heaven with Him. They are looking down on us and we are still their mummy, they are still our baby, just they are angels now.
