AM: I don't think you're being silly, I'd be scared too! I suppose nothing we say will really help just try to rest up as much as poss (why does resting fix so many things! lol) and try to stay calm.

tiamai if tha had been me that nurse would have been picking her teeth up off the floor after doing anything like that... I am VERY particular about my personal space and I anticipate that it will only get worse once I have Roo in my arms! Anyone stepping inside my personal space will find my bite is a lot worse than my bark!!! As for touching Roo when I'm trying to BF... seriously they really would have to pick up teeth afterwards! Then again DH should be around most of the time (I can't see him leaving unless I kick him out or to fetch emergency supplies!) so maybe they'll be safe! He should be able to keep them at a safe distance ;)

Ok, life is happy once again here. The lovely dentist managed to fit me in for an appointment, and the tooth is fixed. I'm numb, but happy.

Yey for Triggles!! your tooth tale made me feel _pale_

Tine you are so scary sometimes ;) My boobs were manhandled on many occasions by many midwives but they all asked first :) I didn't care at that point just wanted Chris to get latched on and they'd all been looking at my foof previously so why not make it a full set LOL

I won my wrap sling :j its a Calin Bleu one, I think Fritha has one of their's too. Think i got it cheap as its "used" and a boring linen colour but I plan on dying it a nice shade of purple or maybe a peacock stylee turquoise 2 of my fave colours for clothes!!

  • Triggles, I'm glad you're all fixed :)

Re SPD - mine has only been down the front in the last few weeks. Prior to that it's been in my hips, with pain down the front/back/sides of my legs. (not all at once, it tends to move about!) When it first started I thought I'd just pulled a muscle, but then it started moving about, and that's what made me realise that it must be something else!

I've been out and about this morning - to farmers market, supermarket and allotment, and eaten a huge portion of pinapple, so maybe that will finally get things moving. If not MW is coming back in the morning to do another sweep. We will get this stubbon baby out in the end one way or the other!

LOL Sami - I'm sitting here sipping apple juice, trying not to dribble all over as I'm still numb! But she fixed it without any pain. I love that dentist! I'm going to her from now on! (And it was free, as was NHS and pregnancy exemption!)

Are the wrap slings the ones that are just one big piece of material that you tie around you??

Ladybird - you know, you should just make plans for this evening - and say "gosh I hope I don't go into labour tonight as I have to do ....." and BANG! labour will begin!:rotfl: Let's see, what have you tried - pineapple - have you tried *whispers* sex? ;) It worked when I was almost 2 wks overdue with DD. What else do they say - raspberry tea, curry... not sure what else. But then, all these old wives tales are quite funny anyway - one of my best friends was horrified when she was ttc and her elderly aunt told her she needed to stand on her head with a basketball between her knees after sex!

Triggles: its one of these http://www.calinbleu.com/baby-carrier-cool-gauze-c-1_3.html
easier than me trying to explain it ;)
are you using a straw? its a bit easier or maybe use one of DS's cups :D

Chris started to arrive the morning after I'd had a Chinese with lots of Chilli and pineapple in it but I was having a bit of back pain that afternoon/evening so I'm not sure if he would have been coming then anyway without the Chinese - not any help at all am I!

Also I wanted to aks you ladies a question, does anyone know if there is more of a risk of going into prem labour if you have in a previous pregnancy?

Don't know about premature as such but baby #1 was a bit under 2 weeks early and my consultant says the chance of baby #2 being early is about 30% higher. So, not particularly high odds.

As for breast-feeding (mentioned in different posts), I can't believe anyone would say/think it is sexual. It is convenient, it is healthy and it definitely makes you feel good to be doing something for your baby... but anything else? Urgh.

Sami - thanks for that link. That is quite nice but I get the feeling I'd just tangle up in it!
