Just wanted to pop by and say hello!!!!
I havent forgotton about you all just cant seem to stay awake and have been sleeping all day most days when im not in work (and well im in work a few times)!!!
Have been catching up on all the posts hello to all the newbies!!!!
Also am having a huge debate which might be a wee bit controversial ive always had this weird thing about breast feeding i just find the idea really horrible and have said that i wasnt going to do it but now am starting to have second thoughts about it all.Everyone who has asked i have told them no i wasnt going to breast feed but they all kind off went mad!!!
Maybe its because no one in my family have ever breast fed does anyone know any places where all the silly questions i have about it might get anwsered or where i can get some more info on it.
Oh can i have the link to join the facebook group please can join it now as i got outed on facebook so had to announce it to the world this morning:rolleyes: !!
was a bit miffed that some random people from work found out and posted stuff on my wall before i had a chance to tell some other people!!! ok rant over!!!:T
Dont worry I feel/felt the same.
Not many people like to admit it because some people can be quite millitant about BF.
I'm not ashamed to say that to me my breasts are highly sexual and it's taking alot for me to come to terms with BF my baby, I'm not even still 100% sure if I will be able to do it, but i'm gonna certainly try (or at least i think i am!)
With Aston I never even entertained the thought, but this time i'd like to think I can put all my thoughts aside and just do it, only time will tell.

I think this is the reason I can't bring myself to breastfeed either!! I never did with my two boys and won't with this one, (or the next one).
It has taken me and dh years to get to a stage where I will actually get changed in front of him or have sex in anything other than darkness:o. I have had major body issues over the years, and now am finally getting over these, I don't want to do anything that makes me feel less of a 'sexy lady'

On the plus side the last day or two I have felt slightly less tired, maybe the iron tabs are kicking in?? I am finding hard to sleep though, I can only lie on my right hand side or else I get chronic wind.....but then my right hip aches:rolleyes:

Oh and thanks Sami and FG for those links.

Am I the only one who doent mind needles, the only one that has freaked me out was the one I had when I had the CVS, you think and IV is bad? thats minor compared to the flucker they stuck in me belly _pale_
I has the IV cannular for 5/6 days continuous when I went into premature labour with DS as they had to give me something to stop the labour, god it hurt.

Also I wanted to aks you ladies a question, does anyone know if there is more of a risk of going into prem labour if you have in a previous pregnancy?
I'm getting rediculously paranoid as i'm nearing 30 weeks, as thats the time it happened before, it's affecting my sleep and everything.
I was hysterical in the night because I thought it was happening but it was just a stomach ache from eating too much pizza.
God I'm actually crying now at the though of it, I dunno why I'm so scared :o

Morning AM - was there a reason for you going into labour so early last time?

Although not prem, my DS and DD were both born at exactly 38 weeks. I asked consultant last week if this one was likely to make an early appearance and got the standard answer 'all pregnancys are different', and 'it'll come when its ready'. Lots of help - thanks  !!

So, although its 4 weeks til my due date - i'm determined to have everything prepared and ready, just in case i've only got two weeks left.

I'm so excited now - i've only got three days left in work this week, then i'm finished til the end of November - :D

AM Sorry I don't know anything about prem babies but your welcome for the link.
The way I see it is even if you only bf while in the hospital then use formula at home you have given baby a better start than giving bottles from birth, I only soley breast fed Chris for about 5 days as found it very hard going, not much support and lack of knowledge myself but at least I tried right?!
one midwife made me feel better when she said If you went to a school at playtime, would you be able to separate the children into breast fed and not breastfed just by looking at them? - obviously not xx

AM found this on the Tommy's website (in case u don't know Tommy's is a charity to do with prem babies)
If you have any non-urgent pregnancy questions or concerns call our midwives on 0870 777 30 60 or email them at: info@tommys.org

maybe they can reassure you, at least you know what they tell you will be accurate instead of hopping that something on the web is correct :)

That was the one thing I was worried about. After reading a few books which go into quite a lot of detail, I feel much better about it, and am definitely going to try to BF. Just knowing that it is 'normal' to have all sorts of weird feelings and sensations, is reassuring. According to one book I read, it is sexual, and it is suppose to feel nice. There is nothing wrong with enjoying it, or getting pleasure from it. Hopefully knowing that will help!
