Just got in from work as hubby said I had to be home by 4pm today. Now he tells me he has booked us a trip to Pisa this weekend and we fly at 8:30 tonight. He gets a little kissy kiss from me and Beanie for being a star. Now got to throw some stuff into a bag - not that theres much thats clean and fits me right now! I'm sooo excited!!

Loving the scan pics Sami, only 3 more weeks till mine.

Not necessarily. If you'd seen some of the hypnobirthing vids you'd be amazed at these women giving birth without a whimper. Women in the West have been indoctrinated to expect birthing to be painful and therefore they go into labour and tense up. The tension causes the pain because your fear is causing your body to reroute blood to the 'survival organs' (heart, lungs) required in fight or flight mode. The uterus & cervix are muscles. They are designed to flex and contract - does it hurt to flex your bicep or clench your fist? Yes there will be strange sensations because your body is doing something you haven't experienced before but it is a NATURAL process and women the world over manage just fine without all our fancy hospitals, classes and doctors because they know that it is NATURAL!!!!

Rant over:p (read your book - especially the first part)

see, that is why you have been missed :T :D

i will take my book away with me and read some more. might quickly try and put the cd on my MP3 before hubby arrives. can't put the cd on in the car, there's a warning, can send you to sleep

Mookie - hope this isn't too late for you - ask hubby if he has booked tickets on net to go up the Tower! Hubby and I went in October and we pre-booked tickets cos apparently you get buy on the day! We did Pisa, and Florence but a short train trip from Pisa is a walled city called Lucca - absolultey gorgeous!

    Have a good one! x

I look at it as another tool in my box. If it helps even a little bit then its been worthwhile. Apart from anything else, practising the relaxation and breathing techniques (and I don't mean huff puff LaMaze type breathing:p ) has really helped me get to sleep when I've been having a rough night and I now have NO FEAR WHATSOEVER of giving birth. Hubbles has even benefited - he reckons he can switch off better after work by using the breathing (in for 4 and out for 8, through nose and eyes gently closed...)
