Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Oh and whoever was asking about the gtt I had one (higher BMI, my hospitals cut of BMI of 35, my BMI 35!) but we had to stay in the hospital as they said they don't like you moving around or drinking much after you've had the drink! It was fairly dull but I took magazines and a nice sandwich and a biccie to have afterwards. And they had Jeremy Kyle on the tele so I ignored that and chatted with the girl also having the test! :-)

I used one, my advice is really get to know the settings, how to work it and pratice putting it on beforehand, then put it on early in labour as it builds up your endorphins :-) I use one when I get back pain (my muscles are broken) so we can get the pads on past which was good!

Oh and put the neck strap on before you go into labour so don't end up fiddling and shouting at your dh like I did :o

I knew there was something I ment to comment on earlier, then 4got!
I recommend having a go beforehand, I think mine was in the wong place or poss just my labour progressed to quickly  but I didn't find it any help at all, ripped it off and chucked it at hubby! :p

I felt awful when I had mine with Aimee, can't remember if I took something to read... Must of done really... But I remember feeling really sick and they told me if I was I would just have to come back and do it again on another day... It didn't help that every time I went outside for fresh air pregnant women kept sitting next to me smoking! Oh, and I'm sure I had bloods before, at 1 hour and at 2 hours?

Hubby bought me a new book for christmas and I'm desperate to read it but also thinking I might save it for the GTT because I know I will be engrossed in it and time might fly... Or I could drage the xbox and the simpsons game down there and hook it up to their TV... Hours seem to fly by when you play that blummin thing!

    lady bits or boy bits....

    copied from B&B thread
I wonder if you have heard of this? At around 11-13 weeks, at the bottom end of baby you can notice a little bump. The bit pointing out at the back of baby is the end of the urethra (pee tube) and apparently if it points straight down its a girl and if it is angled its a boy. It doesn't end up in its final place until 13 weeks so earlier than this might still be out. The split in the middle is known as the fork.
