Random question.. has everyone/anyone got a will? Did you have it anyway or is having children making you make one? When do you do it - before or after the birth?

I haven't got one mostly because I didn't think I had that much to leave. Thought it was just my car and the money in my bank account (or my overdraft, morelike!) but I've actually got a personal accident policy, cashback health cost cover with death benefit and life insurance from work and my pension payout too.

I suppose I'm just thinking about what happens if me or OH go - he owns the house! Any idea how much it costs?

We made wills last year, not so much about the money but the kids. If it is not made clear in your will they will become wards of court so do not always automatically go to grandparents etc. We are not married and my OH would have to apply for custody which would be traumatic all round. We paid £120 for the 2 wills, left everything to each other and if anything happened to both of us for it to be split equally and named their older sister as their guardian (after discussing it with her).
Too many children, too little time!!!
    :p
