Sending lots of labour vibes Ladybird, the first baby of 2009 perhaps?!

I had a good time last night, although a bit different to yours! OH & I just stayed in and watched a film. I went clubbing for the first time when I was about 16 weeks, and I'm not going to go again, far too tiring! I need to sit down all the time, and be in bed pretty early!

My Mum is about your height, she said that when she was pregnant the baby only ever led across her belly as there was nowhere else for them to go! She said she had a really wide bump that came out at the sides - is yours like that?

I think thats is just me being impatient. I want it to be wrong so I can have the baby sooner! 109 days is so far away! I've got another Anti-D injection appointment soon.
Nah he lays vertical, my bump is egg shaped, well thats the only way i can describe it :rotfl:

    Hi ladies,
Chopsticks checking in for the first time in quite a while! Just spent a while catching up with everybody's news.
Sorry to hear that not everyone had a great NYE, but hopefully it has started to improve now :)

SeptemberBaby - congrats on Jamie. He is so cute! Looking forward to hearing the birth story (I think!)

Sami-Bee - a few pages back you mentioned scan places in Wigan. I found this one. No idea what it's like as I just found it on the net but it says it's ideally located for Wigan

Elle_gee - Glad everything went well with your scan. I had mine too and they've changed the date and make me one day earlier now.

Phew! all caught up! Massive post sorry
Krystal thanks for the pic :) I'm still a teeny bit jealous of your rude hubby lol

Feelie: As you know Chris was unplanned, I'd stopped taking the pill as everytime I started back on it after the 7 day break I felt ill for the 1st week (with a few diff brands) plus I kept forgetting to take it  so we were "using" condoms and no hubby doesn't have super sperm, we didn't always use them :naughty: after Chris i got and IUS and I can deff recommend them as the hormone level is so low it didn't make me feel sick once and apart from a bit of pain having it put in (nothing compared to giving birth ;)) it was great, my periods didn't stop completely but were really light and it also didn't stop me ov'ing as it does with some - which is how we could get pg 1st go after having it removed. I'm having another one after Chris and will continue using them until I'm past it :)
Hubby keeps saying he's gonna get snipped and seems serious about it but I don't see the point as the IUS worked fine for us and I'd be having it even if we were going to have more later/he got snipped as it was so good for my periods which used to be heavy and painful.

Also feelie I was a bit aprehensive about having a coil but it's really not that bad, once its in you pretty much forget about it.
The prob is that the failiure rate for all contraception is much higher in larger ladies as their higher body mass means the hormones are watered down IYKWIM

    SB: JJ is gorgeous!!! xx

You all are making me most grateful that I now get on very well with my MIL (We did hate each other for the 1st 2 or 3 yrs though!) but after 7 yrs  we understand each other and are actually like close friends most of the time :j

R.mac we didn't attepmt "it" until Chris was abot 4mths and I suddenly panicked and stopped before we actually got to the bouncey bit (that sounds so silly when typed politely! :rotfl: ) I think we left it another month before actually "doing it" ;)

Chopstick - thanks for that link I kinda know where that is ;) hadn't come acros that one! I emailled a couple of places and one has already got back to me they sounded really nice from the short email and said they were sure they could make it a lovely experience for me n chris (mentioned that the reason we wanted the scan was partly so Chris could see baby again between 2owk scan and being born) they said I would get good pics from a 2d scan which was a big concern for me as wasn't sure if it would be too big n blurry and really don't want to see it in 3d that would ruin my surprise when he'she pops out :D

thanks sami - that makes me feel a bit better :

labour dust for you ladybird :D

Just popping in and catching up before going to meet a friend for a coffee in town. Starting to feel rather antisocial though - it's such an effort going anywhere (and once baby is here that must get worse, but in a different way!). So must go and make myself presentable. Might have to find something in the sales to treat myself to ;)

    Hi guys,

    Happy New Year :j

Im still feeling a little down after my scan on Weds. It was trainee sonographer again with senior one there too (that was fine we didnt mind). She spent ages on each little bit, which was great(maybe a little boring:o ) but we couldnt tell what was what as it was so up close, kept thinking it was top of head when it was belly etc

Anyway said we wanted to know sex when we went in and at the end she had a look but the way she put it I now dont know whether to get excited or not..... she said well its hard to tell and of course it could still be either but it looks like possibly boy bits......... enough doubt or what!!!!

Well then after all that time she said to do the pics(we paid£14 again for 3) but bubs was upside down chin to chest for all 3 and they were virtually identical, couldnt see anything but very white spine and overall very blurry  .

So sorry its longwinded but I cant shake the feeling that everytime someone aks 'so what is it?' that I have no idea!! just been saying well they think they say boy bits....

  • Hi i am hoping to join you all properly soon as i think i am pg but we don't quite believe i am yet as i have done 2 tests which failed and one yesterday that was very faint i am sure i can see a line but dh thinks i am seeing what i want to see. I am now 8 days late so i would have thought i would have got a stronger line.

The problem i have and is why dh thinks i am not is i have had some spotting it started on tuesday evening quite pink and light only when i wipe toward the end of the night it was old brown blood nothing wednesday but yesterday again a bit of brown blood in the day but then before i went to bed i had quite a bit of pink/red blood about 2 wipes worth then nothing again this morning. I don't want to look a fool if i go to docs and he says no your not pg. I will def go though next week when ds goes back to school as it has to be sorted.

Sorry it wasn't a good experience for you candice, maybe she is one of those over cautious types who doesn't like to get it wrong:confused: With chris's scan we had a "normal" songrapher and just as she was looking at his bits the senior one came in and they both agreed it was pretty definite so I was happy with that :D we're not finding out this time and I kinda wish we hadn't found out last time as its made it much more exciting, if a little annoying coz if its a girl I want to go buy lots of pink and ebay off all chris's old stuff

Also I've decided that I'm deff having a 30wks 2d scan whether hubby likes it or not! we've got plenty money still left from the wedding gifts plus Christmas and I reckon that its a worthy way to spend the money :D
