I hadn't really thought about it yet but a friend seemed very keen to know earlier and was asking me.. does anyone know of anyone who's actually had a c-section because of being too slim (hip-wise I assume) to give birth naturally?

Can't say I'm that keen - it's the cutting of my skin and not driving for weeks afterward that get me! I'm all for giving it a bash naturally, but then again I don't fancy any of this "getting stuck halfway out" business either!

My friend had 2 naturally - despite being shorter than 5ft and a size 8. Her hubby is 6ft too. Babies were full term but only about 6lb, but then grew at an alarming rate and overtook my eldest 2 who were similar ages but older than hers (I was between 3 & 6 months ahead of her both times, iyswim) Both of hers were girls and are now aged 10 & 7 1/2

My mum is 4'10'' and minute she gave birth natrually twice, I was 8lb.
I know loads of stick thin girls who have managed to give birth fine.

    Morning All

Oooow I feel so bruised in the pelvic area, yesterday I got sent home from work at 3pm because I was in so much discomfort standing up....All the girls had been commenting on how low my bump looked, I can't say I noticed any difference, but anyway, about 15mins after they had all been saying it I felt the most awful clunk, crunch. It felt like baby had stuck his head right down into my pelvis, From that point onwards I kept getting awful twinges and pains in that area, I could barely stand let alone walk about!!!! I felt bad about going home early, I was only working one day this week as it was!

When I got home I just went and lay down in bed.....It did start to ease by the evening, but today I have woken up and feel awful tender down there now. I'm not sure if baby is still down there or not, I can't quite work it out but there isn't any pain today.

    Mel x

oooh mel - that doesn't sound good - have you called your MW to check it out?

just wanted to wish you all a happy HOGMANAY!!!!!!!

I have a billion things to do today (ok only about 6 things but they all feel massive!) so not sure I'll get on again. A big thank you for all your great gossip, chat and support in 2008 and here's to meeting our bumps in 2009 :D
