No truth in the hairy baby thing! Heart burn is just one of the many things pregnancy causes :D

Sami - Sorry to hear about your dad, I hoe he recovers soon.

I don't think there is any truth in the heartburn meaning hairy baby tale...I suffered with it terrible through both my pregnancies and they were both bald, their hair didn't grow very quickly either..... Funny hting is I haven't suffered to bad this time, even though I have now been diagnosed with a hiatus hernia, and before I fell pg I was on meds to control the pains and belly swelling, well that was before I lost quite a bit of weight which meant I came off the meds (myself) a good 6mths before finding out I was pg.

I was on medication for heartburn before I realised I was pregnant. I was also on medication for sickness. I thought both were related to the other medication I was on. Doctor didn't twig that heartburn, sickness and lack of periods could be because I was pregnant - he just thought it was because I was fat!

I'm still struggling with heartburn, think I'm going to have to go back and get something - Gaviscon and Rennies aren't doing anything any more.

Ooooh does anyone know if the boots glitch is still working for the nappies, when I tried this morning it was charging me £33ish.... Am I doing something wrong?

Oh Sami hope your dad gets better soon!

Ickle have you looked at the jane powertwin this was a close contender for me when i was looking for a double and i agree there is not much on the market. also a tandam is much easier IMO than a side by side as i couldnt get round the shops when my 1st 2 were little and that was a cosatto. i looked at the pear but it was too fiddly to put up and down adn i was picturing 2 babies screaming in the rain and me not able to get it apart lol!

well we have just adopted a beautiful black rabbit! FIL turned up with it the now asking if we would like it(he knows i wouldnt be able to say no:O) it was his brothers and kids wouldnt go near it and he just wanted a new home!
What's for you won't go past you

I had terrible heartburn with 1st pregnancy and Imogen was bald til she was nearly 1!

Try fennel or lemon & ginger tea. I also found Guiness & chocolate (not necessarily together) helped! I have a 72 pack of Rennies in the cupboard in readiness as I know it's coming any minute now.

Had scan yesterday and all is well. LO was kicking and waving. They have moved my date forward by 6 days  so i'll amend the list in a minute.

Better go do some more painting or we'll never be able to move in in time for Xmas! Have a lovely festive season if I don't make it back before then. :xmassign:

be careful with fennel as its mentioned on the avoid list on babycentre, it says avoid the oil but the culinary herb is safe, no mention if the tea/seeds are ok or not  I had some tea for morning sickness but stopped just in case as I'd had some bleeding
