I think as long as you're not throwing up then its fine... If you do throw up then keep yourself hydrated and rest a lot...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I'm sure you will be ok skintchick - the placenta is really clever and filters things before they reach baby (which is why we can manage the odd glass of wine - esp those we had before getting a BFP). I can't imagine a few mouthfuls will have a bad effect - although if you are/have been/become sick you may want to contact your MW or Dr for a medical opinion
I can't stomach fish of any kind - which is a royal pain in the a** as it's normally a favourite of mine
On a brighter note, I am starting my raspberry leaf tea regime today - will report back on how I get on.r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
I only feel the same sick as usual, nothing different and no stomach pains. Phew! I do usually have a cast iron stomach and would have eaten it normally (OH spat it out!) but he made me stop cos of the baby and I knew if I did eat it and the baby died I'd never fogive myself.
Hopefully it will be fine then.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Oh ladies - a friend who has had three miscarriages and is now under a consultant texted to ask how I am. She knew I was PG again so replied saying about my scan and it all being fine and she hasn;t replied
Was I insensitive? I know she has an app with a consultant this month to see what they can do for her (she has MS and PCOS).

No I don't think you were being insensitive, maybe she's just busy... If she was upset about you being pg then she wouldn't of texted and asked... I had a friend who lost 2 babies (1 at 18w) and when I was having DD the pregnancy would crop up in conversation but one time her SIL was there and after I'd gone she had a right go about how insensitive I was talking about my pregnancy in front of her... But my friend wasn't bothered, she was happy to be talking about it...

IMO no you weren't insensitve - she asked and you were honest. It's horrible that she's having such a hard time (my heart really goes out to her) and she will probably find you being pg a bit difficult. I wouldn't push the issue but gently let her know that you are there for her if she ever needs you or wants to talk.
you sound like a good friend SCr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -

I try to be sensitive. We were both PG at the same time last time but she lost hers before me. SHe has such trouble getting PG and then they never stick, and they've been trying for a few years. I feel bad for being so fertile! Thing is she isn;t even allowed to adopt because of her MS so if they cannot do it naturally (they don;t want surrogates) then they will never be parents and it's so sad.
You're right - she is probably busy at work. Most people do have jobs after all!:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Yeah, not like us layabouts
I'm really annoyed... Long story but a friend I've known for years let me down on my hen night and didn't turn up to the wedding... Her sister just signed into messenger and asked me if I'd calmed down yet! Excuse me?! I don't remember not being calm with either of them! Not calm now though... I asked what she was on about and she went off... So I blocked her...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls...
