  • Thats the system I had for Poppy, elle, and I really love it. It will be used for new baby when he arrives too. Have you tried any out at JL/Mothercare?

I have taken nappies back to boots once coz I forgot Chris had just recently gone up a size and they swapped them but I had a receipt and paid the price gap :A

The prog I'm watching now is a spin off show from the current child of our time, i love prof robert winston! its just made me worry that we'll still be stuck in this house when chris is older and he won't be able to play out like I did as a kid :( we lived deep in an estate next to a big field so no cars to worry about and lots of space to roam/trees to climb! where we live now is next door but 1 to a pub n nxt door but 2 to a train station and on a main road so no way I would let him play out here!

Ah, I've watched all those Child of Our Time children grow up too :D. What channel is it on?

Did anyone else get the "£50 off best selling pushchairs" email from Mothercare today?

They've got the Silver Cross 3D plus car seat for £385. Don't know if that's a good price for it or not! It's a "buy the two together and save £50" offer.
from memory I paid £280 for the pram £80 for car seat ans £50 for accessory pack (bag, cosy toes n parasol)
PS Parasols are the most pointless thing ever!! don't bother getting one unless it just happens to be included esp if getting the 3D as the hood zips off to make a canopy which is much better at keeping the sun off

I think Sami is right, as always!
  • I'm really firm that I don't want DD to have a TV in her bedroom, DH is always mentioning it... No thank you!

And I know what you mean Sami, I live in a cul-de-sac and there are fielded areas around here but the local children are horrific, I don't even let DD play out if next doors brats are out because of the language that comes over the fence and they are only 5 and 10! The family across the road are pretty notorious and how they haven't been evicted yet is beyond me, their daughter is always being arrested for antisocial behaviour and their son just finished his 2nd prison term in 3 years... I am desperate to move but there's no chance in the current climate and with neighbours like them, I'd never sell this place!

I just went and had a lovely shower... Put on my satin honeymoon pyjamas... Came back downstairs and DH barely lifted his eyes from the XBox... If I hadn't bought him live gold membership and a new game for christmas I'd be accidentally knocking a drink into it sometime soon...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Trying not to think about the big stuff until at least my birthday in Feb, when I'm about 20wks.

I don't want to think about it too soon, but having said that, as I've got through today without major incident, I am now.. more pregnant than I've ever been before! :D :j I'm going to celebrate with fruit crumble and icecream!
  • Congratulations elle!...

    Mmm... hot crumble and icecream....

:rotfl:my hubby is fast asleep in the armchair and has been for about 3hrs now  you lot scare me coz hubby is getting an xbox for xmas off his mummy - and worst of all.. I suggested it as a gift! wwwwhhhyyyyy!

The only way Chris would have a tv in his room would be when hes around 10 and I would be removing the areiel at bed time so no chance he could watch late night, I had a friend whos MIL got her 5 n 7yrolds tvs for xmas :rolleyes:she felt she couldn't take them off them so she didn't let them have the remotes and they were only tuned into the sky multiroom box that she kept downstairs so all they could watch was cbbc which finishes in the evening.

there was an incident at my mums school after a 5yr old girl had seen something rather saucy on her tv late at night and decided to find out more with one of the boys in the toilets

Hmm.. I did buy two photo frames in Asda yesterday. In my defence they were in the christmas gift section so they might not have them for long, plus they were £5 each or two for £8 ;) They're pink silky fabric with butterflies on which is going to be the nursery theme if this one is a girl (gut feeling everyone seems to have!).
