How do you pay for items, and what seems to be the preferred method of payment for buyers?0

I might give this site a go, since I can't use ebay anymore after tomorrow. But is paypal still the way they want everyone to pay?Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0

With regards to editing size of pictureThanks. I finally just discovered and easier way .
Right click edit on picture to be edited.
It comes up then under paint
Go to attributes
Click stretch/skew
reduce both from 100% to 50% (width and length)
and it downloads perfectly.
Many thanks though.
Thanks for that, would never have worked that one out!!
Just listed(quite easily) several items & let everyone know about the site & they are all registering as we type.....so much easier than Ebay-oops, am I allowed to say that?!?!:rolleyes:Jo x:A0 -

I agree its very easy to list on.
My tip since there's no spellchecker is to draft your listing text in word etc. and copy&paste if you sometimes have problems with fingers not doing what brain is telling them!0 -

When you put on your listing the choices given are paypal, cheque, postal order, cash on collection and bank.
Over the last month since I’ve been using it everyone who’s bought from me has paid via paypal, but that’s okay with me as there are no listing fees or any final value fees whatsoever taken by ibootsale at the moment, so there is just the paypal fees.0 -
I know it is easy but do you have to list bu paypal as payment option to actually sell anything as this seems to be a problem for some.0

As a buyer, I think sellers accepting paypal is pretty much essential. Its quick and simple a couple of clicks and job done. Compared to digging out a cheque book (havent used one for years) and popping to the post office and then wait a week for it to clear etc etc0

No you don’t have to put paypal as a payment option. You can also opt for cheque, postal order, bank transfer or cash on delivery; it’s up to you which ones you want to offer.
But as quaid pointed out previously, paypal is necessary if you want to attract buyers who already have and are used to using paypal.
As ibootsale listings are free and there are no final value fees to pay either, I cannot see a problem with offering paypal as a payment option and just having to pay their fees only.0 -
Came across my first potential scammer on ibootsale.
Posting this as a warning to other users of the site in case you’re having dealings with them, my advice is don’t go there, just ignore them and put them in your email blocked list.
(added: Just reread this in case theres any confusion - I'm talking about doing dealings with the scammers not the ibootsale site. I think its a great site and am selling a fair few items.)
I reported the following to ibootsale who were very quick to respond saying that they had removed them a few days ago due to suspicious activities reported by others.
Look out for names Nastri Blazer, Nastri Wincy, Nastri in email addresses from yahoo.com and live.com etc.
I received this yesterday Sat 7 June 2008 in reply to a message I sent them on Wed morning regarding combined postage, and payment by paypal.
