ibootsale anyone??

I was recently introduced to this site, which is not trying to compete with ebay, but more with car-boot sales.

Sellers take a 90 day "pitch", can sell up to 25 items free from any fees, with buyers being able to haggle over prices and it has a few thousand listings up there at the moment.

It's quite a novel concept, and worth a browse IMO - seems to be a lot more geared to the small-scale buyer and seller rather than volume or professional sellers.

(I'm not an affiliate, and it's not one of my own sites - just something I thought would be worth sharing.)

I have just discovered www.ibootsale.co.uk myself having listed a few items this evening for the first time and have sold an item already!!! Result!!!
I'm still trying to work my way around the site and had a nightmare uploading my photos to begin with as the files were too large. Once I worked out how to reduce them, listing was very quick, much more simple than Ebay and for the moment fee free.
Definitely worth a look if you want another online avenue to make a bit of extra cash.

  • I suppose eBay is expensive when you think about it, Pay Pal fees, listing fees and final selling fees add up.

There are a few of these free online boot sales around, I've used http://www.bitsnbobs.co.uk since December last year, sold a few items through it.:T

YAY I have sold four items already!!! The first week was a bit slow but since my first sale they have been trickling through. What is even better is that the items I have sold have been old Ebay stock that wasn't selling.
I also only received one haggle and the rest paid the full price (they obviously don't have the MSE mentality yet!!)
My only criticism of the site which I have emailed admin about is they don't seem to have a checkout system set up for the buyer so the seller knows the status once the item has been bought regarding how they are going to pay for the item. I have had to resort to emailing the buyer if they don't pay immediately asking when they will pay and how? Iboot have told me it is being worked on so hopefully these areas will get better.
Other than that it is great....NO FEES...woo hoo!!!!

I've bought and sold on Ibootsale and found it really easy to use.

Got a book my daughter wanted and also have sold some of my own books and bits and bobs which hadn't gone on Ebay

    I rather like the site

Good luck to everyone else with their sales

So far I have sold a pair of jeans, a top, DVD and a skirt. I have since listed a few paperback books so I will see how they go.

    Good luck:D
