Spoil sports. Would have thought that at least the staff would be able to take first dibs on any of the bargains going.

Got a plantronics bluetooth headset (voyager 510) for £3.50 (marked up as £5 with 30% off) in the Gloucester branch today.

On the subject of refunds they had notices up saying no refunds only exchanges but underneath this it said "this does not affect your statutory rights" which I think means anything that is faulty or used (unless marked as faulty or used) can be refunded.

I took back a faulty staple gun today that was purchased yesterday and I got a full refund.

Ship them out to where (out of interest)? I know that staff aren't technically allowed to put items aside, but it does happen (happened a lot in the Morrison's where I worked) if the manager is happy to turn a blind eye, and given the current state of the company and stores, I doubt that there are too many managers who will care at this point.

fair play to the staff if they get 1st dibs, they should at least get get something good out of this whole thing IMO

just back from my local store and got my little boy a cosy coupe car for £10.23!!! its the version III so am over the moon and think he will be too!

We still get our staff discount so im happy!!

On the other bit of news, there are updates on store closures. Not gonna post them in case i get in trouble but im sure it will be in the news tonight

Hi everyone, I was on the conference call this afternoon and if your store is one of the first to close on 27th Dec, you will be informed tomorrow. They have to give each store 10 days notice. Head office and the DC's will also close on the 27th Dec. Some stores will have their leases taken over by a different firm, however the staff will not automatically get a job with them. They will have to apply like everyone else
