Woollies in Coventry yesterday had gaps on shelves and lots of suitcases. It appears they had a large delivery just of suitcases.

The rate stuff has been selling I wonder how much stuff they have left in their warehouses. I suspect most of the good stuff has gone.

Alot of the good stuff in the warehouse will probably be sold off to places like Home Bargains

You CAN have a refund. Your item is faulty, I work for Woolworths and you can have a refund if it is faulty or unfit for purpose which in your case, clearly is. Tell the staff to read the sign!!! Def go to another store, if you came to mine, id give you a refund!!

managed to get two lexmark all in one printers for £10 each from rugby today, and was tempted by the 19inch lcd hd dvd combi for £130( but was worried about it going wrong and no comeback) ,it was first time i have seen the staff smile for a while as they had just had a delivery of 50 toasters(just what everyone wants).

I suspect that a lot of the electricals, such as Xbox's and the like, will be recalled to warehouses and sold off to other companies rather than seeing any major reductions on them.

Our local branch now has a "Store Closing" banner on the windows and doors, they also seem to be removing the consoles and high value items from the shelves, either for re-distribution to another Woolworths store, or returned to warehouse to be sold off to other companies as I suspect.

Given the current climate and what will be happening post Christmas I do not think you will find many companies who want to buy any (Woolworths) stock. Everyone is trying to dump as much stock as possible. Wholesalers I know have for some time been offering excellent incentives to buy stock.

My local store has signs saying exchange only unless item is faulty then a refund is available as it is still ur rightif it was sold as new and working
  • if anyone in east kent wants an iggle piggle bike like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0015X71SK?ie=UTF8&!!!!!wwwreadersinf-21&linkCode=as2&camp=1634&creative=6738&creativeASIN=B0015X71SK

then ramsgate woolworths have about 30 of them at £18 each.

Apparently they had a couple of pallets delivered and each box they opened was another bike!

We had to remove our mobile phones today and ship them out but we still have xboxes.

Also the staff cant put aside any stock, we are not allowed to.
