  • Just as well we took our daughter to Toys R Us on Monday to spend her birthday cash.... we even considered making her wait til this weekend and a Woolies trip. She got a TON of stuff for £60...... and still has Christmas to come!

Replies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you

Your plight has almost made me shed a tear. I wouldn't wish such suffering on anybody.

You must be absolutely devastated after ALL that. I hope it hasn't ruined the festive season for you.

You'll be in my prayers tonight, that's for definite.

And what about the season of goodwill - how DARE you!
I have been on these forums for years. I have not insulted anyone, I was not rude to the staff, just posting what I found like everyone else.
Maybe you should read the board etiquette about not posting anything offensive. We are all posting the same reasons on here.
I think you must have too much time on your hands.
  • its not closing down its just a trick, rather like this one a couple of years ago...

I don't touch HMV unless I have a gift card or there's something in the sale......
Again - my in-laws will happily pay a stupid price in there.
That said, it's easier to find the DVD you're after in HMV, rather than the Woolies jumble sale.

HMV is hardly fine. The group lost £27.5million in the first six months of this year, with HMV itself losing £12.7million of that.

Actually it was Waterstones (who they own) that lost them the majority of money, because book sales have been in decline.
The HMV brand took in a profit.
  • Dont say i did not warn you that there was no change as my daughter and my sister both work in the store i will keep you updated as much as i can but looks like some stores will close quicker than others i reckon they have work up until xmas eve as for the deliveries there are more than 50 million stock in wharehouse in london but not paying delivery men to bring it to glasgow will keep you updated i got a bargain last week
woolworths new point of sale will be 70/80 and 90% just waiting on confirmation of when it starts
