Why moan? Because people are being informed that there is going to be insane reductions, some are going out of their way to get to stores to try and save some money at christmas and are getting there to find that nothing has changed!
You're lucky to have got items with such reductions, even seen things at 50% off (there was no 50% off in my local branch! Not even 40%!)!0 -
They are going to have a hell of a lot of returns!0

Ah, i see, i thought they may have been different posters.
Might pop along anyway, just wont keep my hopes up for any decent bargains!0 -
My local woolies was chaos at 9am as i had guessed...but i went anyway!
I got the england mini fridge with baseball hat, flag ect for £3.50 which was reduced from £60 (never ever in a million years would i have paid that much, lol) but it will be great for the summer in the car!
The lady behind the till was just exausted, she said the staff had been told it was none of thier business and just to turn up to work! So she was standing there taking abuse from all angles (it had been on our local radio that it would be 50% OFF EVERYTHING) so people wernt happy.I wished her good luck and a peaceful christmas.
I will miss woolies,it makes me think of being small and being really happy because mum always bought me somethingnow my youngest daughter wont even remember it existing.
it takes more energy
to hate than to love...
love and relax!0 -
I think you are missing the point Woolworths was a doomed business. The media are actually helping them at this point. The aim is to clear as much stock as possible and get the cash in.
Huge free publicity.
But they are making people believe there are more and bigger reductions today and thats not so.0 -
People can't return the stock unless it is faulty or damaged. Remember that they don't have to accept anything back just because it doesn't fit or you changed your mind. If they do it is only goodwill and not the law.3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

How about 'All stock must go today' and in small letters 'to our new shop opposite':D0 -
Has anyone been in one today?0
