Was planning in heading to the Edinburgh shop today at some point but don't think I'll bother. Thanks for the heads up about it!

If you were planning to head to Big W in Edinburgh my brother is currently there.

He has purchased school clothes ranging from 50 pence to £1 and crockery which he got really cheap but other than that he said it is a nightmare as it is so full of people and he has been waiting to get to the checkout for almost 45 minutes now!

Needless to say, I am not bothering to go down - he got my daughter's school gear for me :T
I discovered I always have choices and sometimes it's only a choice of attitude :j

Went to Lowestoft store, still the same old discounts, got a Winnie The Pooh game for my daughter, it was 14.99 down to 7.99 after discount so not bad, the queue was massive, but only had to wait about 5 mins to get through, didn't understand why the person in front of me was buying gift vouchers or why they are still selling them????

Had a better buy in Clark's next door with 50% off their kiddies shoes!!
  • All the crap left over will probably be puchased by Boffer :rotfl:

  • I made the mistake of going to woolies today in the vain:o hope of finding bargains after listening to the news last night. Wish I had read this thread.:o

Anyway I did get a few odd things (30 % off the children's clothes)that I wanted. But probably not got any discount after paying for parking:rotfl: . A lot of people were walking round saying what a con, what a con. Every 10 mins or so we heard a man saying it wasn't 50 % but as it says on the shelves. The media has succeeded in drawing people to the shops. I had to go to the post office afterwards but couldn't bear the thought of queueing again after having done it in woolies.

I worry about the way things are going in this country with loads of people losing their jobs......would like to wish everyone in woolies all the best.
