Good morning everyone, and happy birthday JW :j
Just done something daft-as its such a bright and breezy day here in Worcester I thought I'd hang up the boy's bedding to dry outside(not something I usually do in winter). After spending a few moments grubbing about in the muddy lawn to find the hole for the rotary drier-success!It usually takes ages to find it after months of disuse-any way I plunged the drier pole into hole only to be liberally sprayed by stinking rain-water which had accumulated there.'Oh ****' I said, then when I discovered the basket of clean laundry had also been sprayed 'Oh ****' again.
Oh well,it looks like only one duvet cover got hit and the smell might disappear in the fresh air.
Decided to check out my local Lidl.I cycled there-very fit, very green.I've shopped there before and not been that impressed, but everyone raves about it here so I thought I'd give it another go.To be honest I'm still not that impressed. Many things didn't seem cheaper than Tesco Value lines;tinned tomatoes,OJ,butter for instance.A lot of the meat and fresh fruit and veg is imported-I like to buy British.I thought the biscuits and chocs looked good value but I don't buy these anyway.I did get mozzarella though as that was a bargain 49p for 220g.I really hated the way they rush you through the checkout, and why can't they provide hand baskets?
Lidl is not for me.0 -
Which reminds me - I'll heading off by train to see my Dad this weekend.
Having a neighbour coming in to feed Sally means that I'm also whizzing about between posts doing that bit extra dusting and tidying... you know how it is
So if I'm not about to help someone find threads and things by all means jump in there and point at the indexes and stuff.

Thought I would jump on here for a few mins as a break from the. Sorry can't say it, as it is swearing. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well done two rooms. Only another million to go. My fault for getting slack and not doing any housework for a week or two. Bathroom needs tackling  . Next job on the list.
Two loads of washing on the line as we have it bright and breezy here today. Airing the house as I type. Apart from the room I am sat in.
And after gadding about the last two days flitting from different towns and different branches of Boots to get freebies and presents I thought I better stay at home today.
Hoping fingers crossed to go and order and pay for the chest freezer I have been nagging husband about tonight. I said we need to get two new bank accounts. His reply we have enough bank accounts already I can't keep up with them. I did then say that we would shut one down. And that these where higher interest.
Can't complain too much as he is so sweet. The last few nights he has put a hotwater bottle in the bed for my ice cold feet. And the has folded up my nightshirt up on top of it so that when I go to bed I have a nice warm night shirt. I know he is a keeper even if he does drive me mental sometimes. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Breakfast: Nothing well glass of OJ as I type.
Lunch Scrambled egg on toast
Tea: Steamed veg with veggie sausages with gravy (lashing of) and mint sauce. Yummy.
Do need to pop up the post office to post a few letters but might let that wait until tomorrow or friday.
Take care everyone.
Yours
CalleyHope for everything and expect nothing!!!

Hi Yall, A lovely bright sunny day here in the Emids even the birds are singing and I can almost believe that spring is around the corner:j Up bright and breezy as the DW repair man descended at 7am (again). New facia and timer this time. I'm determined to have the thing completely rebuilt before the extended cover runs out.
Jobs and paid2click done and I'm slowly working my eay through four big sleeping bags which my Dad bought down to wash cos they won't fit in his machine.
Lunch: Salad bowl and wholemeal bread
Dinner: Bacon maccaroni cheese, salad, Hassleback potatoes, treacle sponge and custard.
I may walk the long way round to school and make the most of the good weather.
It's so nice to read peoples good news
Happy Birthday JW - have a great day_party_

Just read through Martins Email :money: I was so engrossed that I got the shock of my life when the post man put a big letter through
Turns out it's all the stuff from Natwest for my new e-savings account. I'm going to make sure I read through all the stuff thats come with it - just a pity (from a quick peek) that the information contains dates from 2005
Now I should really go and wash the dishes...:mad:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Afternoon all,
Thought I would be brave enough to say hello on here today as you have been so helpful over the last couple of days...
Happy Birthday JW,
Big Hugs to Scuzz and MrsB,
Feeling really good today as I sorted out freezer list and menu plan for the rest of January budget and despite my blip the other day it looks like I have come in under budget!
Somehow I have alot done already over the last two days, so today might be a day to chill for a little while with DD when DS is napping later.
Got potatoes in my salty soup waiting for the miracle to happen but it dosent seem to be working, may add another few to see....
Another reason I am feeling really good today is I got a parcel in the post!!
I just love getting parcels, especially when I don't know what is in them as opposed to having ordered something and waiting for it.
My mam has bought and posted me a coat from Ireland!!! I haven't had a new coat in 8 years!! Always been a reason to leave it till next year if you know what I mean eg being pregnant for 2 winters, needing to lose weight etc etc, this year the excuse was no funds! Although it is still in excellent condition, it is now 4 sizes to big for me and so looks scruffy on me and she commented the last time she was over to stay. Oh it is just lovely, black suede type material on the outside and fleecy on the inside, perfect fit, quite slimming actually, perfect shape for driving in, ( a bug bear of mine) and best of all....machine washable!!
Oh I love my mammy!!!! Going to phone her and tell her!
Hope you all have a good day,
Ronnie.Trying to tidy and clean while the kids are still growing, is like trying to clear snow even though it's still snowing
