Evening!
The vouchers came, I tried my damndest to shop, and it didnt work. I spent £9.99, on the argos cheapie slowcooker. Have shown boyf how to use it, so hopefully ill come home to a meal in future! (im also thinking about getting a breadmaker, but im not sure if ill use it that much and will it be a waste of vouchers??)
I even went into my mecca today, Habitat, as I can spend the vouchers there, and saw nothing. As id paid for parking already, I really wanted to spend, so picked up a rather fetching set of salt and pepper shaker thingy's, for £15. I put them down as I neared the till as I realised ive already seen almost identical ones in argos, at half the price, so came away empty handed. Had a browse of what is left of the sales (nothing) and attempted to look at the new season stuff (nothing again). This moneysaving lark is making me not even spend vouchers! Crazy!
Boyf has annoyed me today by getting sulky when I mentioned 'get a goddam job' and is still a bit moody now. That, and only getting an 'oh yeah, happy birthday' has put me in a pondering mindframe as to why im actually with him anyway - he's beginning to annoy me a lot recently and am wondering what to do about it.
Oh well, new year, new age, time to start thinking seriously about the future. Off for a tea and a ponder I think!

How Exciting!! Just got back from midwife's appt and all's well. Even got to hear it's little heart beat
Just wanted to share cos it's made me all smiley on an otherwise distinctly unsmiley day!!
Hope your hands ease up soon MrsMW, take care.
Good for you Rage - it's about time some people realised that bullying and childish games are not acceptable behaviour from grown ups. I have to admit I'd be sorely tempted to let them know exactly what I thought of them just as I left on my last day!! You hang in there and keep counting down the days, not long to go now.
Love to everyone else, and sorry for not posting more personals - desperately trying to get the accounts done. :eek:I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are – Milton Berle0 -
Aargh! Just realised I got this week's dates mixed up and tomorrow is my colleague's leaving do - I had it down as Friday in my diary - so I've just had to grovel profusely to my friend who I was supposed to be treating to dinner and hope we can get a booking for Friday (or next week... or the week after... aaaaagrh!)

Rage in Eden...only a month!!??? I have a colleague who hasn't spoken to me since Easter. She's a right miserable cow, very prickly indeed. I am hassled in this job big time, am actually thinking of working at Ssainsbury's or similar instead....ahhh the rewards of a university education (NOT!).
£Ronnie - greetings from Ireland! About your soup, if there is a lot of celery it is going to taste salty - to my tastebuds anyway celery is v.salty! However if you bung in more spuds and boil until they are soft then blend the whole lot - thin it with some water or preferably chicken or veg stock if its too thick - it should be OK (actually stock has salt in...you could use milk for cream of Celery soup...). This is my fav home made soup, yum!
I apologise for forgetting that today is Wednesday. How embarrassing. Didn't realise it wasn't Tuesday until mid-afternoon today. I wonder what happened on Tuesday, it seems to have disappeared. (And please nobody whisper **old age** or I will cry...
Joanne...that house looks totally gorgeous, please let us know how that viewing went.

As Victor Meldrew would say 'I don't believe it!!!!' A chap came to the door this afternoon and collected the parcel that has been sitting on my livingroom floor for 2 and a half days!!!!
I have had to ring the parcels recipient to say its on its way and apologise for the delay, I sent a letter to the Manager of the Company, will see what, if anything, that brings.
Managed to get some bits done at Tesco before I went to the hospital for my mammongram......got back to find I had sold something else on ebay......hooray something else gone from the cupboards...... getting there gradually.....
Supper tonight cooked chicken chopped up with and onion, sultanas pepper and salt and mixed with mayo, jacket spuds, tomato and celery salad, followed by peaches and a teeny drop of cream.........
Cut out another 3 blocks for my quilt, want to get them finished tonight, that will make 8 out of 43 finished..........
Have a great evening............

Evening everyone :hello:
A late one for me - I know some of you have been missing me because of the messages
Bad night last night - both boys ended up in our bed and after that it was musical beds until 4.30. I was even to be found in DS1's room at 3am, playing hunt the PE kit and tidying his drawers outSo, this morning was in no state for much - spent an hour on the phone to one of my best friend's whilst I put dinner in the SC and generally pottered. Had to do a mad rush round town this aft, swapping school t-shirts -they've gone from sizes in inches , to ages and my 6yo now need age 9-10!! Asked for a 26 in and got age 7-8 which is a 23-25inch. At least I used the fact I had to pay for parking to relieve Boots of some of their bits which will come in handy for Xmas
Also picked up LOADS of fruit from the market for next to nothing (eg 35 satsumas (nice ones) £1, 4 punnets plums, £1)
Took a trip to Tesco and blew the fact I was going to do a store cupboard challenge this month. Had run out of tinned toms and as they are now cheaper than Lidl, had to buy lots. Also bought the Allinsons flour on BOGOF (thanks to whoever said about that) Have bought the white with added wholemeal as it's supposed to still look completely white, so DS2 might eat it. Stocked up on lots of stuff for my CV detox too (going well - day 3 and completely stuck to it)
Anyway, this site was down/overloaded earlier so first time I've got in.
Hope those who've had a bad day feel better tomorrow and (((hugs))). - scuzz, rage, ruya and all others I've missed.
Hope you had a happy birthday, boyf not withstanding, Jo
MrsB - I'm so glad for you - it's great isn't it, hearing the heartbeat, and so sorry to hear about your mum (((hugs)))
MATH - will be thinking of you tomorrow (((hugs)))
Johanne - great house, hope you get it.
Ok,not drunk enough herbal tea yet so off for another one. Was going to have a bath - may still have one so I can finish my book. Will be going to shampoo mum'scarpets tomorrow, so don't worry if I'm not about
Luv

Very late post for me today - obviously the stressed out atmosphere at work is a common thing at the moment - winter blues I guess - so couldn't push my luck on here - wish my monitor wasn't visible to everyone in the office
Not very OS either, no breakfast, bought lunch (only spent 55p) and pasta and sauce for dinner. Been to Sainsburys tonight so we've got plenty of food now - just wish we had lots of space to put it all
However up to date with washing up now (had to do last nights before I could cook tonight) and 1 load of washing in now and another one sorted. Need to put clean stuff on the bed in a minute as we need to wash the stuff on it and dry before the weekend as we have guests and our bed needs changing this week (I know what I mean
)
Selling stuff not going so well this month so I might try ebay tomorrow - see how my time goes  think I might try and make a start with that now, photos etc and finish my research of items on there now and then I'll try and get to bed earlier tonight so I actually get up on time tomorrow
Hope the viewing went ok Johanne,
Happy birthday Jo - hope your boyfriend has pulled his socks up.

Evening all :hello:
Quick post whilst the advert break is on between Lost!
I'm all moved in now and despite feeling drowned under a mountain of boxes I'm getting there bit by bit. Most stuff has been stashed up in my room for now so it's out of the way, and the boxes take up over half the floor space and are stacked 3-4 high!!! Where on earth does it all come from LOL! I can see I'm going to need to do some serious de-cluttering as I unpack and earmark a lot of it for either Ebay, carboot, freecycle or the bin!
WM is merrily chugging away now that I've managed to find my extra long hoses, as the other ones were a couple of inches short of reaching the taps  and depending on the weather tomorrow I'll actually be able to hang it out to dry for the first time in 4 years :rotfl: ... new cooker arrived yesterday (treated myself in the sales to one of those huge range types so I can do lots of OS cooking :j ) and will hopefully be plumbed in some time over the weekend. Can't wait as I'm sick of micro meals and take-aways (although we've discovered the local Chinese makes food to die for and isn't full of MSG and colourings!) but it's not very MSE or OS... I am planning to utilise my SC, electric steamer and GF grill over the next few days though as I got a Tesco delivery this evening so have a few bits in now that I can cook in those. They still managed to c0ck up my delivery though and lost a bag of chilled products somewhere on route
I've still got to go back to my flat to do a proper clean-up and shampoo the carpets etc but I'm really not looking forward to that and keep putting it off as I have another week or so till I hand the keys in, but just the thought of going back up there sends my anxiety and stress levels soaring
I'm so much more relaxed and stress-free here, despite the fact everything's still upside down and we have lots of work to do yet before it starts to feel like "home" ... and I did get rather a shock when I first saw the state of the place  ... but I definitely think we made the right decision moving here
I have already met the neighbours on both sides and they are lovely people, and I have even managed to take a walk round the corner to the local Co-op :j... ok, so it was late in the evening under the cover of darkness :rotfl: ... BUT! ... I managed to bag some great reduced bargains that I have been so envious of reading about on here for months now
OMG! is Sawyer going to drown???? ... sorry back on Lost again lol ... he's the only bit of eye candy worth tuning in for though:drool:
Right, I'm off to watch the rest of this being as it's the last one and all should be revealed! Hope everyone is doing ok as I haven't had chance to catch up on all the gossip yet or read any of OS properly the last couple weeks.
*Big Hugs* to everyone :A"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Welcome Back Curry Queen . Have missed you. Hope the house will soon be 'home' and you get sorted.
Sure sounds you did the right thing in moving.
Wondering where Queenie was too? Have missed her posts and good humour.
