LOL......Beat me. I was just going to post this for E7 users. Even worse news for any of you. If this is true, it looks like E7 will be taken over by Tiscali!!!
I'm soooo glad I'm with a decent ISP (Zen)How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

If Tiscali ARE taking e7even customers on AND honouring existing contracts I'll be happy with that.
At least I'll get back what I've already paid for.0 -

At least you'll already be used to second rate customer service (from the performance of E7), which is what Tiscali is famed for.How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

If Tiscali provide second rate customer service that will be a 100% improvement!
'e7even' and 'customer service' in the same sentence don;t translate into anything I can print here.0 -
Well E7even have managed to sort out the problem with my connection and now I'm getting a faster service than ever before. I think for a newbie on the ADSL site to come up with an unconfirmed report of this significance is a little suspicous as there are wind up merchants a plenty (we've had a few here on the Olympus thread). Has anyone else had problems connecting to e7even's broadband service?
Ours has been down for a few days, something to do with a server down. Apparently being fixed by the end of the week.

E7even.com has a series of threads detailing the problems with E7even.
I've been off since Saturday but had a short session this morning and am back on now and it's really flying, super zippy at the moment. The freephone dial-up provided was dreadfully slow and almost impossible to connect to but it looks like their working on the problems and getting them sorted. My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program

I think you should be more careful about posting scare stories like this. The adslguide post was from a newbie, with no evidence to back it up. Over to you Mike Paterson.Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning. Albert Einstein0

We should wait for further information before assuming that this is the end of e7even. I'm still connected, with speeds back to what they were in the good old days!
However, perhaps it isn't looking too promising - I know of 4 other e7even customers who lost their connections on Saturday and haven't managed to re-connect since with either their old or new usernames.0 -
The thing is. This rumour wouldn't be unreasonable. Consider.................
For each BB user on a BT phone line (non LLU). An ISP has to pay BT wholesale £8.40 (+VAT) a month for ADSL. On top of this, they have to pay BT wholesale for the bandwidth that is used (this is why we see so many ISPs capping and traffic shaping nowadays). They also have office rent and rates to pay. Servers to pay for, run and maintain. Staff wages as well, and they still have to try to make a profit. For the companies only charging £10 a month. This doesn't look feasable. This is why people have been predicting E7s downfall for a while now.
It wouldn't surprise me in the least if E7 have money problems. It also wouldn't surprise me to see a few other companies facing financial problems because of their low pricing structure. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
