He Who Shouts Loudest?

Many people take time to post feedback to the MSE Team on this board. However, it seems that the only way to get a response from the Team is to start an argument?

Whilst I understand that it is sensible to get an argument under control as quickly as possible, does that mean that no one else gets a look in?

Is it even worth posting on Site Feedback anymore?

Surely if people have taken the time to bring an issue to the attention of the Team, it would be courteous to reply?

  • I guess its still a place for discussion though. If there is something particular you want reviewing isnt it better to email abuse? Could be wrong tho.

If we should always email Abuse, then what is the point of the Feedback board?

I didn't say that this was not a place for discussion.

I posted a suggestion a couple of days ago and several people agreed with it. I assumed someone from MSE would answer yeah or nay, possible giving reasons. I wouldn't have thought of emailing Abuse when this board is supposed to be for suggestions. Wish I hadn't bothered!

Yep, I posted one a while ago now suggesting that an article be put together about the social utility tariffs available, which I think would much more useful than where to find the cheapest TomTom. Even a thanks but no thanks would be better than nothing ... :o

MSE do listen if they think its worthy enough, for example the Dosh & Disabilty board was created because it was suggested, had plenty of positive feedback, became a popular idea, MSE looked into it, decided it was so, replied accordingly (personally by Martin), and lo n behold was included in the forums.

Arguments, rows or obscenities, generally get ignored or deleted. And rightly so.

  • Hi dmg24

If you look back through the pages you'll see that between various members of the team we've replied on quite a few threads.

If we haven't it's often because the questions have been answered already.

Or ultimately that we have nothing to say. It might well be something we're looking into but have nothing of consequence to tell you so we can't say either way.

Feel free to post the link here to your original suggestion in case we've missed it and I'll take a look.

In the meantime, please do remember there are less than ten people on the editorial team trying to keep all the articles and deals notes updated and put together a huge email every week. It's a massive job so we have to prioritise the "doing" part before the "letting you know" part.

We hate pointing out that you're not paying for any of this but it's true.

    Andrea :)

    .

And is now a source of confusion between itself and the Benefits Board when it comes to answering people's enquiries about disability benefits!

In that case, can you respond to Oldernotwiser's question please?
