Pay day tomorrow, thank goodness! I have just paid my last £5 across to A&L. I'll pay the lodger's money across once I've paid it in.
Quite late on here today, work is horrendously busy. How can we potentially lose our jobs if there is so much to do?
All I am doing at the moment is trying to think of ways to bring down the debt as quickly as I can. Having said that, I still have not tackled ebay nor had a look at Aldi! Promise I will get the proverbial finger out at the weekend.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Hope so! Think it's the familiarity demon, I know the layout of my Tesco store and am unlikely to come back without items on the list. Also quite likely to come back with items that weren't on the list

Finally it's payday! It's been such a long month. I had a whole £5 left over which I paid to A&L yesterday.
Today I paid A&L another £35 this is the total of the differences of minimum payments for all the cards! As you know I'm now only going to pay the minimum on the other cards until the A&L card is cleared.
Unfortunately, also had to pay a vet bill I had forgotten about, that was £36. Still waiting for the big one from the Captain's adventure, with any luck I can wait that one out until February.
I'm going to Aldi on the way home tonight, work out what they have that I use and what sort of savings I can make!
Also got a mortgage notification, telling me my payment's dropped again, which is good news, February's payment will be £61.23 less:jTotal debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

The drop in mortgage payments will help, are you going to pay the excess of A & L with it.
I don't shop at Aldi or lidl either, however my nearest is 10miles away and i don't know if i can adjust to eating the different foods. Think i will be sticking with Tesco for a bit longer and maybe even do some cooking from scratch if i can be brave enough! I will have more time on my hands now that OH is going to be working away for a month, a nice surprise for when he gets back.
Your dishes always sound so delicious though piq, maybe i should just copy you!:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

I have disasters andan, I once used a chilli sauce that I thought was a pour on one, along the lines of Homepride, to find out when served, I should have used a tablespoon! It was so hot, I had tears down my face and could still feel the burn two days later....
I checked out Aldi, it didn't have a lot of things that I buy and on certain items I couldn't see a huge price difference. There is a Lidl on the way to the saddlery, I'll pop in there next time I'm heading that way. I have to be honest, I don't want to have to go to two supermarkets to do a complete shop. I know this is hardly moneysaving, but maybe it is if I were to take the petrol into account?Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
