As said before, it’s the tail end of the month, and what a long month, so not too much going on financially. But I haven’t been idle…

I paid the building insurance money to my credit card, meaning the balance hasn’t increased. In fact, I rounded it up from £135.50 to £140.00. I also paid £2.20 to the horrid MBNA card. Also realised that the £30 a month extra I pay off the mortgage could be better used against the card, so cancelled the standing order. My mortgage has gone down with the rate decreases so I’ll leave it to pay itself for a while.

As I’m not sure about my job, thought I’d use all benefits that I possibly could and have booked myself a health and well-being assessment!

Think I should cancel my lottery subscription, I’ve only ever won a tenner now and again – but suppose my numbers came up after I’d cancelled? What do you guys think I should do???

I can't comment about the lottery.

I played it twice just after my 16th birthday, I won a tenner both times and quit while I was ahead. I bought a one pound scratch card and won £15 and quit with that too...

I think there are better competitions to enter where I'm more likely to win.

I saved 2.50 today, very naughty though! I had to go to the hospital for a blood test. The car park had gone up from £1 an hour to £2.50  I only had £1.30 in my purse - £1 for the supermarket trolley and 30p for an emergency wee. So I had no choice but to wing it. I got away with it!!! You have a budding criminal in your midst...beware

My lodger has arrived. There is stuff everywhere, it is being tidied away though. Wait for this.....my new lodger has gifted me three new circulon pans, only used once from their old place. Doesn't like them as they're too heavy! I love circulon pans :j and paid me £100 up front until payday on 28th (I didn't ask or even think of this) and bought me a bottle of wine - WOW!

I've just made a cauliflower cheese, I carefully poured the sauce over the cauliflower and then caught sight of the grated cheese still on the side, not in the sauce as it's supposed to be  - oops. Now have nearly cauliflower cheese with a very cheesy topping :D

Guessed you'd pick up on that hamster :rotfl:Obviously, a normal wee is free (once you fully own the house the toilet is in) An emergency wee is when the train has been very delayed and you can't wait until you get to work and have to use the station facilities!

I'm thrilled with the pans, completely unexpected. Dear lodger has just popped downstairs and given me loads of low calorie light bulbs and a cow print ironing board cover (hope that's not a hint)

The fairy cakes are a fantastic idea, aren't they. Can't take full credit for that, it was Fay that set the idea running - no pun intended :rotfl:
