Hiya
Just caught up on your diary - ggggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr to silly men bosses who don't know their bums from their elbows. Is your boss related to my supervisor?
They seem to have the same back stabbing, snake like capacity.
It will make you laugh - my OH is exactly the same about lodgers - ie I can have one as long as it doesn't interfere with US time - what are they like. Good luck with it all and great news about the PPi' thing - must write my letters (I know how many times have I said that???)
Back to the writing of the ridiculus story of the day.........ie thesis chapter - arghghgh.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

Amazing, some people, but I suppose the jobs crisis is going to bring out the worst in some people, survival of the meanest perhaps?
I'm not taking any notice of exex rantings, he knows I'm in debt and unless he's going to gift me the odd £50k, the temporary lodger is coming to stay!
I still think the ppi letter is a delaying tactic, I'd be amazed if they gave in without a fight. I've read up on this particular company on the ppi thread and they don't come out of it well. At least I've got the ppi payment cancelled monthly. Friday will be the first installment without ppi!!! yippee!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

We have lodgers piq, my fella has always been great about it, although the 'us' time has got less and less more so to do with the fact that we don't have that much of our own space. Have to say though, that i am reading more and more posts about it.
We have foreign students and enjoy it because if we don't want to do it for a few months we can stop and then start up again when we want. Plus some students come for a few weeks where as others are with us for around six months.
It will be great for you with the debt busting especially if your job is not that stable. Sounds like you are putting your contingency plan into motion, more than anything though i just hope you get to keep your job.:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

Thanks andan
If the temporary lodger works out, I will look into having students staying. The only problem being I live quite a way out of town, right in the countryside so may not be appealing to someone without transport.
Will look at other ways to cut back, but I think the grocery area is going to pay dividends, thank goodness I can cook!!
Checked on the OS board and their overwhelming opinion on defrosting the freezer is to use a wallpaper stripper! As luck would have it, I have my father's one sitting in my garage right now! Once there is more room in the freezer, I can bulk cook and save quite a lot of money.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

OKAy look I dont want to seem rude or anything BUT sorry but wheres the monday funny story from your weekend of horseyness ????:rotfl:  :A,
Something must have happened doesnt it always,
or
have you got another date lined up this week that captain can interfer with.

Okay, for my friend the hampster….not the funniest, but might make you twitch a smile, you were lucky the exploding electrics didn't put a rictus grin on your face
Sunday was cold but sunny, so I knew the Captain and I would have to go out, despite the fact he had a clip on Saturday. For those who don’t know, a clip stops the horse getting too hot and also acts, on certain horses, as a ‘go faster stripe’
The Captain is still a little grumpy, he probably still has a headache. However, he perked up as soon as he realised we were going out. He very kindly even gave me a wedgie as I picked out his feet before leaving…A party trick I have tried to discourage since he was a baby. He always grabs a bit of knicker with his teeth and will not let go, until he gets a carrot or some such treat. Believe me, it is not comfortable. There must be a photo album full of pictures of him with ladies underwear in his teeth! Thinking about it, I remember him doing it once to the farrier, only once mind! The farrier's not keen on that sort of thing
As soon as we on the track through the woods, I knew I’d made a mistake. I certainly shouldn’t have invited his arch-rival Dylan. We were either auditioning for the part of Zorro’s horse in the next re-make of the film or practicing for the 2:30 at Chepstow not sure which. As the horses hooves hit the track they were off, racing each other with no regard for low branches and riders. I seemed to spend the greater part of the ride around his neck, pleading with him to slow down (I use the endearment, slow down you !!!!!! quite a lot).
You’ll be thrilled to know, that he attempted to do a stallion type rear at the top of the hill to show Dylan who was the boss. I’m afraid he got a swipe on the bottom for that one. I think Spring may be around the corner, as the Captain is behaving in a very stallion like way, prancing for the ladies, racing and proving himself to the boys.
By the time we finished our hack, I matched my mud spattered horse perfectly, absolutely filthy…at least he was the one that got the cold hoseTotal debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
