I have an mbna card too, wish i didn't. They seem a real pain and i never seem able to use their card as it is american express. Still, i suppose it stops me using it!!

Glad your surviving the tough financial month.

Hiya andan, I've never used the card it was a balance transfer deal. I've learnt a painful lesson! I have another one I use when I have to, but always pay off the amount I've spent, mind you, still got a balance and a bit on there!

Well the letter wasn't the no to your ppi claim that I was expecting! It was to tell me that my complaint has been passed to the PPI Customer Concerns Team to conduct a full investigation. They aim to complete the investigation in four weeks at the outside eight weeks, so I'll sit tight until then and see what happens.

I think it's a delaying tactic the letter says they will be interviewing the staff member who discussed the policy with me (four years ago!) Think it might be bunkum, quite sure they won't remember one phone call.....

There's no hurry, if I get the money back it will go against the MBNA card or their own loan if that's the route they want to take. Don't mind really!

...hibernating huh? good idea this time of year...

Chicken out of taking him out today, he's had a clip and it was very windy, not a good combination. Probably would have ended up galloping to the supermarket or somewhere equally ridiculous, will be brave and take him out tomorrow regardless

Probably need to do this post in another colour entirely. I am still so cross.

Yesterday I found an error at work that would have cost the company millions in a fine. I found all the relevant parties and got it put right before anyone in an FSA or HM Revenue role noticed. A lot of people, understandably were in a flat spin panicking and many emails went back and forth, long after it was sorted. I'm not blowing my own trumpet, but I do know my job and all the legal disclaimers that are required and which ones to use when!

Later yesterday afternoon, my boss came up to me to tell me had sorted it out with the CEO and the CEO was very pleased with him!!!!! I was not to worry as it had been a very dangerous situation for the company to be in.

    a I wasn't worried
b I had sorted it out not him
c He has taken credit for what I did
    d I can't say anything, as I'm afraid he'll make me redundant

Over 200 people were made redundant last week and there are many more jobs to go.

I'm completely powerless to do anything, except spit with rage, the man is a complete and utter ar**h*l*:mad:

That is really awful (expletive under the sun would be better used). Hopefully he realises your worth and will keep you on, if only to cover his back.

    Oh Piq,

I'm hopping mad on your behalf (well, again, imagine all the expletives you can and I'm thinking them)

    Bloody hell, what a cheek?!!??!!

I hope you manage to calm down enough to enjoy what's left of the weekend. We can all group together and curse the son of a *****. (an MSE coven? I can see it working)

you know we all love you, and appreciate you, and understand your worth, right?
