    Thank you KT and lucielle

I am still cross but worried too now, I have thought it is his intention to get rid of me for a while now. I think I scare him a bit. To be honest I've been awake all night worrying about it and how best to approach it tomorrow (or not, as the case may be).

If he does, it will be at the end of February, I think. He's given me a load of tasks that have to be completed by then. Tasks only I can do.......

He intends to ride on the backs of others, while stabbing them! I don't like working for him, but I need the job to clear my debts, I do wish I'd tackled them sooner.....

Gosh their really are some unbelieavable people out there. you obviously did an excellent job and your boss should be man enough to recognise that and give you the praise you so rightly deserve.

I wonder how the situation would have gone if you hadn't pointed it out........

Sounds like a difficult situation to be in at the mo though with all those redundancies. How secure do you feel your job is and do you have any contingency plan in place.

I have to say i am amazed at the number of people who are being made redundant at the moment.

My OH may have to work away for a month as he is self employed and goes where there is work, which i'm not overly happy with but needs must

I don't have a contingency plan, unfortunately! I think the whole of my team's jobs are very insecure now. We do the sorts of things that are being off-shored to India. It's happening everywhere as you rightly say.

Am not going to say anything, if I antagonise him, it'll speed up the moment. What have things come to when bullying is hushed up like this? I'm going to redo my budgets and see where else I can save. I'll write up a plan later.

Bad news about OH working away, a month will go quickly though, but you will miss him horribly, poor andan.

Is there a way to anonamously 'blow the whistle' so to speak?

In my company there is a way to report such behaviour in a safe way.

We don't have anything like that unfortunately, the boys stick together! I am not going to say anything to him about it, it's not worth it I want to keep my job as long as possible, each month is an extra payment off all debts. Instead I am being very cheerful and have already offered to help on another project he's got. I am going to be a very loud and happy team player and see if I can see what's going on. Mata Hari in the office

I've got a plan on pulling the budget in even more, will write up on that later today, I think I can save more money to throw at the debt if I'm really tight!

I will also do a separate post on my weekend adventures to cheer you all up!

    Daily update

I have a friend who was about to move into a new rented house, unfortunately, that’s fallen through and they’re finding it difficult to find somewhere decent within their price range. So they’re coming to stay with me for a while until they can find somewhere else to live. The good news is, I’ll get the rent, we talked about £300 a month, which is pretty good for the use of my spare room. Naturally, it’s going off the A&L card, so if they stay for a couple of months, I’ll have cleared an extra £600! :j Exex is going on something alarming about having someone else in the house when he was hoping to come home. I have told him not to be so ridiculous, it’s not like he was planning on sleeping in the spare room!

I’ve filled the car with petrol at Tesco, double points. It cost £28.27 a bit of a saving on the £39.81 it cost to fill in November. That’s the beauty of my spreadsheet, I can actually see what I paid for things, month to month. No, KT I am not sad, well, not very….:o

Oh, and I was incredibly money saving on Saturday evening through to Sunday, there was a power cut about 8 o’clock, so wasn’t a lot that could be done! The candles were pretty, but fairly boring!

Must pay off the building insurance today.

I'm still worrying about work, found my boss tucked away with HR early this morning (I was early) so paranoia is increasing...

I’ve managed to come up with a bit of a plan on cutting back further. This looks like it will save an extra £35-40 a month.

Certainly a few more items can be missed from the supermarket trolley and downgrade brands where possible. I know a lot of people do this already and I should have, but I didn’t :o…. As an experiment yesterday, I cut the grocery bill by £10 to £27 and that was without really trying.

I will be going to do a reccie on Aldi later this week as I generally shop at Tesco. I think most the saving will be on staple requirements such as flour, butter, fruit and veg etc. I don't think I'll be swapping coffee though. Carrying on from what I learnt on my own personal store cupboard challenge I made a large pot of saggy vegetable soup for evenings after riding. I do, however, really need to defrost the freezer to gain some more room. I hate doing the freezer, is there a quick way, I wonder? I might go and ask on the OS board.

Also I need to lose some weight, if I am to fit comfortably in a suit for job interviews. So from today, the wine purchases have stopped, as has the drinking. I have a few bottles for emergencies, so please don’t worry about me. :D

I will also be approaching the snowballing on my credit cards properly. I tend to pay off the difference in original minimum payments on all of them. I’m not going to do this now. All extra is going against the A&L (MBNA) card until it’s cleared. Then I'll tackle them individually in the correct order.

Having someone coming to stay, means I have to tidy/clear the spare room. Meaning there will a fair bit of stuff to ebay. I must start this next weekend, no excuses. I hate ebaying even more than ironing….and you my friends, must look on Mondays to make sure that I’m doing it. ;)
