'course I don't mind you popping in, the more the merrier, I think it's almost bordering on the keeping cheerful/slightly mad thread....careful you don't become infected :D

Love the idea of all ganging up on him, there was film that did that, was it 9 to 5, or was that the song? A lot of people will be doing the same thing to the people who work for them I think. It's a survival thing. Only the mean will survive (really hope that's not true )

I can be quite fiery, so it's been a tremendous effort of will power, not to say something. But I think it's for the best in the current climate. Everyday I keep my job is an extra day's worth of pay....

  • Hey Piq - big wave here from the far frozen north. Snowy and sunny - and cold!!

Nine to five did indeed have a scene in the film where the boss was dully sorted out. You can safely count me in - I will definately lend a hand. I am thinking about baking my supervisor a cake with something horrid in it or maybe bake a chocolate cake and put a laxative chocolate decoration just on his bit. No idea the thoughts are brewing though. Its his birthday soon - (last year he asked me to do a cake) don't suppose he will this year - but then again he is a man and is very thick skinned.

Working at home suits me I think, (well being at home not so much the working bit) firstly I don't need to see the stupid boss person who winds me up with his incompetence, and secondly I think I should be outraged at my ex hubby - when I signed up for this being a mum malarkie I intended to be kept at home with my kiddies just pottering around. How rude of him to change that plan of mine.

Sounds like the captain is keeping you on your toes. ...........

Hope the lodger works out, our other new one comes on Saturday - she sounds great so fingers crossed! Our first chap is fine too, he has the advantage of going home at the weekends.

Lucky you (and KT) having snow, it's just horribly overcast here.

Loving the idea of the ex-lax chocolate decorations. Think you'd have to do fairy cakes and mark the bosses one in some way. One big cake could have disasterous results for the rest of the team....not enough cubicles here.....hmmm, we do cakes on Fridays....Fay! you do not always bring out the best in me :rotfl:

Lodger arrives this evening, fortunately I did actually tidy and clean the room. However, the box room now looks like a jumble sale:rolleyes:

  • hmmmmmm fairy cakes of course why didn't I think of that??? His one can have the happy birthday chocolate on it..........

You certainly bring out my best foot forward don't mess with me side :) (then again its often not that far buried) ............if we were men we would admire our cunning.

Problem is all the women I know (and like) tend to be lovely and have morals.

PS I dont really hate men, just idiot bosses.

Yes I will, but I'll try not to touch the money until the 25th. Being very strict with myself! I've got budget left over for the grocery shop, so I shouldn't need to touch the money until Monday. Actually, I won't touch the money even then. It will pour out my account via direct debits
