Just popped in to send massive (((hugs))) to Lesley, her family and her good friend, Taplady. What a sad time for you all.

Some hopeful news about LO - she has been moved to a different hospital and they were planning to try her off the ventilator today; we're still waiting to see how she got on.

PenPin - I hope you haven't got the lurgy, you've been through enough. (((Hugs))) to you all.

Well, I've had a lovely hot bath and I'm just about to have a mug of drinking chocolate and do a bit of knitting while watching TV - I like to live life on the edge!

    Evening peeps

welcome back Donny_gal - nice to see you posting again.

    r.mac - Happy Anniversary :bdaycake:

Catznine - I`m so glad that our monster cats antics cheered you up, ((((HUGS)))) for you and your friend. I`ve not read any of Deric Longdens books but thanks for letting me know about them. DH has been asking what i want for Christmas so maybe there`s an idea for a pressie there :D

Wannabee Sybil - I think that maybe our cats are related :D

Esor - Great idea regarding the carrier bag handles, when we get paper ones i think that i shall do this and leave one out to see if our monster decides to investigate.:rotfl:

Purpleivy - ((((HUGS)))) for you, hope that the w*rk situation sorts itself out.

Welcome to Knitter & Katholicos

Taplady - I am so sorry to hear about Lesley, take comfort in the fact that you have been a great friend to her.

Oystercatcher - Ouch! hope that your tooth gets sorted asap, i was never brave enough to have the root canal treatment i made them pull the tooth instead :o

Well i never returned the fairy lights so thats something for another day, i cleaned the living room until it sparkled and did all the ironing :j i`m now having a well earned sit down to let my dinner settle.

I went to visit Dsis this afternoon who has been ill with a nasty bug - i kept crossing my fingers so hopefully i won`t get it. She showed me a great idea for a dog bed as she has a poorly houndie who has bad arthritis. I was so impressed that when i got home i ordered one for our little old houndie but it is big enough to cut in half for the doggies to share.
When i think that the last bed i bought cost £35 for the oldie and has only lasted two years i shudder. This should last forever and i got the 2 free pillows for us too :j http://www.intellifoam.com/toppersingle.html .
Here it is, do you think he`ll like it :D I`ve had an email and it should arrive tomorrow.

Well i need to sort out the kitchen now so i`ll leave you all to enjoy your coffee - or wine as the case may be :D

    Have a good evening everyone.

Had our school xmas bazaar yesterday which meant a busy weekend what with setup and cleanup but all TOTALLY worth it as we managed to clear over £2000 pure profit :j :j :j

Righto, off to browse for ten mins and then off to my bed, keep your fingers crossed I get some sleep!!

EDITED TO ADD: HUGE hugs to you TAPLADY XXXXX

Just popped in to say I'm so sorry Taplady that Lesley is fading fast. She is surrounded by loved ones so she will be in peace. That's a huge comfort and what a lovely friend you've been when she's needed you most.

I'm upstairs getting dressed. Taking DGS shopping with me and you can already fry an egg on the road it's so hot. Sleep well. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Its been a busy day again, we had our eyes tested this morning, then went shopping, had a sandwich in MrM's got home put it all away, and collapsed with a :coffee: and feet up. Then cooked a huge pasta bake, split it up and froze it. I better sort the freezer out its getting very full, got 4-Beef stews, 6 - Pasta bakes, 6 Shepherds pies and various other tin foil containers in there. I must remember to write on all the lids not just one in a batch, as they get moved about all over the place and then I forget whats in them:o

OH is asking for a drink so better go put the kettle on.

    Night night
