Morning friends.
I hope everyone that isn't feeling great today gets better soon. I'm sneaking some internet time from work. Been here since 6.30 so I think I am due a teabreak
It seemed quite mild this morning but maybe that is because I was hald asleep coming to work and almost missed my stop on the train. Sunday nights are always hell for getting to sleep for some reason. I need more tea to kick start me into a semblance of humanity. I just realised that my annual train ticket is up for renewal on 28th December so I need to find £1300 from somewhere  . I guess it will need to go on the 0% CC that lives in the freezer and really tighten opur belts Jan-April and try and get it paid off.
Dinner tonighgt will be leftover roast beef and I am going to try and stretch it till at least Wed after DH blowing my food budget for this week on the pieve of fillet beef.
Have a lovely day all0 -

haven't had a chance to catch up today, I will read later. I have to go into work early to see my LM for a review of my timetable, hoping that it won't be decreased any further...it's down to 6 hours from 14.
had a good OS weekend, Mum made marmalade from the remainder of the sev oranges in the freezer and I made some tomato soup from an enormous box of tomatoes that I put in some time in the past, big space from those two. Liberated the goose (aldi) that I got earlier in the year, apricots and apple for a nice crumble. It feels better this time of year using stuff out of the freezer rather than spending ££ on food in the shops. See y'all later[SIZE=-1]"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Hi everyone, another who has been MIA, though I have been scan reading when possible. Just do not seem to find the time to post too, crazy isn't it.
Been keeping track, and prayers going for Lesley, Tristan and M's LO.
Happy 1st Anniversary Mr & Mrs rmac :bdaycake:
Though I have been busy on the OS front, had a couple of goes at soup, the fridge bottom didn't go down to well, but the chickens soup and spare chicken stock worked well. WM on atm, as is the SC, only DH eating bread at the moment so yesterdays BM is still OK. I am back on the Atkins type diet  as it seems towork for me, only trouble is that it is two different meals each meal time, coupled with also trying to empty the freezer and store cupboards. Been busy knitting for a great nephew due in Mach/April, and trying to get caught up with the paperwork/scanning/filing thereof which arrived while we were away. Will someone please tell me how I fit all the above in while working full time+?
Aussie - I always turn to my old and tatty Be-ro cook book first, I have 3 a really old one which came from my Mum (Brown) a slightly more modern one but still the 3" wide version, which is now in Spain and my newest one (still dog eared and tatty) which is the about 8" square one with colour piccys.
Pen-Pin, Smoky glad to see you and hear how you are :grouphug: to you both and anyone else feeling below par.
Hi to all new posters, sorry names escape me. :hello:
Can anyone who has got a power meter help me, I seem to boil 1 litre in a kettle for 1.5p is this roughly what you get
That's enough Ming for me for today, must get back to the paperwork, I am trying to scan DS's now to get him organised. Getting a young male organised I know a pipe dream:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Take care

It's our first wedding anniversary today - I can't believe how quick it's gone. It's been greatAs the first year is paper, I've put all our honeymoon photos and tickets etc into a beautiul big album for OH - very OS and mse
I have to pop to the supermarket to stock up and get something yummy for dinner tonight. I think that it'll be a pavlova for pud as Hubby loves that. I'm such a good wife

I want to make cranberry sauce to take as a pressie to the In-Laws on Christmas day - is it too early? and If I use approx 300g of cranberries and 200g sugar how many standard jam jar size jars am I likely to get out of it????? Hi Everyone
First post on daily thread. But love reading all about your plans for the day ahead.
Its cold and frosty here too. Sat with a blanket over my knees and a small one over my shoulders...No central heating in my house only gas fire in front room and I have an unwriten rule not to turn it on before midday...(Later if possible).
Going to wrap some more pressies up later and also make some mince pies. :santa2:Febuary NSD 8/14 March NSD 9/110 -

We have appointments for the opticians later, then off to do the shopping for the Mum's and us, Sc is on WM just finished a load and next one gone in. I am trying to get in front, because next week is gonna be a busy one.
I hope our house-guest has gone by then though, I am getting a bit fed up of being woken up early every morning.
Welcome to caspertheghost you'll love it in here and will pick up lots of tips x
Pen-Pin - nice to see you back. Hope you feel better later x
Kathy - We had an estimated bill last week and OH rang them with the meter readings, which were way lower than the estimated ones, after a conflab with them the upshot was the dd was dropped to £90 instead of £97 as we are over £350 in credit, so thats a bit better.Thats with E-on.
(((hugs)))for all who need them today x
Better go OH is ready and giving me LOOKS. See you all later

Morning! Had a good weekend of rugby, jewellary selling, drinking, curry, more rugby, chinese food,Home Alone & The Grinch...phew! Shattered today.
Mentioned last week that i was going to help my mum at a christmas craft fair on Sat. Well it went fantastic!:j It wasn't very busy but I was a selling machine and we made a profit of over £320:T really chuffed as it's my mum & LS's part time make-some-extra-money hobby so I really wanted Sat to go well. Mum wanted to pay me but I wouldn't have it, don't like taking money off the folks and LS is struggling financially at uni so always try to help where I can.
Ramble over....Got all the Xmas decs up thanks to a sterling effort by OH, Xmas cards will be written tonight if it kills me. OH will likelydo the laundry and pick up parcels from sorting office. sO no chores for me!YAY am lucky lady.
Hope everyone is trooping on today, hugs to all who need, don't let the man get you down:D
